My last thought on it is, why would you want the God of the Bible to be real? His exploits, especially prior to the New Testament, read more like an arbitrary tyrant enforcing a strict, poorly communicated moral code upon a beleaugered and confused population. Then, to nail home how manipulative he is, he twists his acts of cruelty into being acts of love. Like a serial abuser, he convinces humanity it's THEIR fault he had to genocide the entire population of Earth aside from Noah and his family. Never mind how absent God had been in directing, teaching, and helping the people of Earth. This repeats itself over and over and over again. Job, Sodom, Gomorrah, Egypt, ect. ect. ect. Why would you want to believe in a God like that? Someone who can embody such evil and show so little remorse?

If you're starting from the axiom that god is an omnipotent and omniscient being, they you're going to have to accept a lot of idiosyncrosies from him to square his odd behaviors with that fact. I also think you cannot have both an "all-powerful" God and an "infinitely good" God. For God to create Evil would mean, by definition, he is not all-good--For God to subject evil, willingly, upon man would make him the source of all evil. For God to be incapable of creating a perfect world of Good without Evil would mean he is not all-powerful. For Him to be unable to create Free Willed creatures without allowing them to sin is merely a limitation we imagine him to have, but not one an infinitely powerful being should actually be beholden to.

If someone tells me they are libertarian, at least I can assume that they've had some curiosity about the way our society works and have sought out alternatives.

If someone tells me they're into astrology, I just assume they'll believe whatever fantasy you tell them if it's something they want to believe. I don't know. That's kind of funny, but there's still a pretty big gap between the two in strictly evidence and surface level critical analysis. At least libertarianism sounds like it could work in a more benevolent, more homogenous, and more productive species of humanoids. It's a political system that just isn't fit for modern human society, and that's okay. It's still an interesting philosophy to try to analyze the world by, just not one who's conclusions should be taken to heart.
