One of the more depressing realisations for me that she was just in a mental hospital,there's not always a happy ending. The fact the man she trusted more than anything could rape her (even if it wasn't really him...) led her mind to completely give up.

It's a lot darker and ominous, less soap opera. Watch the first episode, you'll get a feel for how the rest of the season will go.

I found the original tough at times because it was poorly acted and looked like shit. It looks great now, obviously there's some cringe acting/weird moments but overall it's a lot more tolerable in that regard.
