If I thought the soap opera aspects and most of season 2 was some of the worst television I've ever forced myself through, but I love the parts that are pure Lynch, would I enjoy the new season?

It's a lot darker and ominous, less soap opera. Watch the first episode, you'll get a feel for how the rest of the season will go.
I found the original tough at times because it was poorly acted and looked like shit. It looks great now, obviously there's some cringe acting/weird moments but overall it's a lot more tolerable in that regard. --- Husikam ...Believes in Patterns ... Copied to Clipboard!

Been a pretty fun season so far, with way more hits than misses. Even inspired me to rewatch the earlier seasons -- something I rarely do for any series, honestly.

I thought Mulholland Drive sucked the first time I saw it too, but now that I've watched all the Twin Peaks stuff (well, not FWWM), maybe the Lynchian madness might fit together easier. Apparently, Mulholland was supposed to be about Audrey going to Hollywood or something.
