Doki Doki Panic originally began life as a Mario game before they decided to shoehorn the concept into a weird TV promotion they wanted to do, then it returned to life as a Mario game and the Mario version of the game is almost unquestionably superior

That's really not the point, although SMB2j could reasonably be in the poll

The point is that Yoshi's Island is pretty obviously its own series with its own conventions, it's a Mario spinoff

Doing a thing that the game doesn't want you to do just to see what will happen? EVERYONE tries that. Some people try it their first time through the game. These things never remain secrets for long.

Doing a thing that the game doesn't want you to do and then PAYING EXTRA MONEY AS A RESULT? Yeah that changes everything. Literally nobody is ever going to do that. Rusty's Real Deal Baseball is literally the only video game in existence that I know of that makes this condition possible.

I'm sort of annoyed that that scene with the old woman just ends with her being overtly scary and (implied to be) chasing after her

the first two minutes are REALLY good because they're just subtle and strange and you don't even really know if she's a threat or not but then I kinda rolled my eyes when it turned less subtle

anyway it looks good

I voted for Hawkeye just because I was feeling it. that's probably not the correct answer but it just felt right

I think the point is that when researching the paranormal for so long and immersing yourself within that headspace to create films/stories featuring it for such a length of time, the brain starts to create situations for yourself that feel paranormal.

I think a supernatural entity that only haunts people who spend a lot of time creating supernatural things is actually kind of a legitimately cool idea, like imagine a story about a Stephen King-like person who gets stalked by some kind of spooky creature

The speculation that Mysterio could be lying about the multiverse is really funny to me. Think about it - they reveal this huge plot hook with the potential of a multiverse, a thing that is very much a thing in comic lore, all for it to just be a thing that Mysterio is making up, and we end the movie on "lol there is no multiverse?" Yeah, the multiverse is 100% real. Mysterio MAY OR MAY NOT be lying about the exact nature of the multiverse and whether or not he's even from there but the multiverse is definitely real. I agree with the idea that he's probably a fraud in another universe.

Yeah, I really couldn't tell you what any of the themes in the MCU sound like aside from the Avengers

Winter Soldier and Black Panther were the only non-Avengers movies that had scores that stood out in any way to me

The best part of the MCU soundtrack is that screech that happens every time the Winter Soldier is on screen in Winter Soldier. god that was such a fucking cool sound cue

The pure joy of the Spiderman Theme remix at the end really nails in the head how forgettable the soundtrack for the rest of the MCU is.

I genuinely think Emperor's New Groove might have the best humor of all the Disney movies, as much as I like Totoro

I'm not even a very big Disney guy and Emperor's New Groove is one of my favorite comedies, it's probably the only Disney movie of that era that I am personally enthusiastic about

Random thing I remembered:

I'm the only one who laughed immediately when I saw the rat in Scott Lang's van

Because it was instantly obvious what was about to happen and it was really silly/funny

I was the only person in the theater who had that reaction though

Honestly, most anything, but I probably tune out and ignore comedies most of all. This is especially true for modern comedies that try to emulate "internet humor" and, for me at least, almost always fail.

Sorry, that is actually what I meant. From the bits and pieces I've picked up, Hulk and IM2 seem to be the least regarded. I think you're right that I may enjoy the Cap movies more; I've heard so many good things about Winter Soldier.

I would recommend giving Winter Soldier a try. If you don't like it then there's nothing else from the MCU I would recommend at that point.

Homecoming is great and Ant-Man and the Wasp is a lot of fun imo, not mandatory but I would watch
