Black Sails has a good balance between portraying some of them as having a "code" and such, while not sugar-coating the awful shit they did as well, as well as showing said pirates with that "code" doing awful things to achieve their ideals. Great show.

Sounds like a good show. Pirates of the Caribbean makes Jack Sparrow seem pure good.

Pirates were like gangsters/cartel.

Fiction portrays them as sympathetic characters having a code of honor. These guys were bloodthirsty, greedy, and downright evil.

To disable DMs (direct messages) on Instagram, go to your settings, tap on Privacy, navigate to messages, tap on Others on Instagram, and select Dont receive requests.
After youve selected Dont receive requests, you wont receive message requests from people that youre not following.

It looks like people's she's following will still be able to DM her, though. :(
