It's decent. There's no laugh track, at least. Possibly for that reason, I end up caring more about Sheldon and the other characters than I do the TBBT characters (including that show's version of Sheldon).

The only Beatles songs I actually like are

Come Together
I Saw Her Standing There
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
Drive My Car

And the first three of those are mainly due to versions by other people, and "Drive My Car" is there mainly due to the "beep beep, beep beep, yeah" bit, which I just think is funny, again mainly when it's used in other places.

I find many other Beatles songs to be okay, but I don't generally play them in my mind or anything.

Maybe Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle ...? I'd call it "good", but it is rather below the other main six Professor Layton games.

One nice new feature it has, though, is the ability to unlock pictures from the other main six Professor Layton games as you earn points by solving the daily downloadable puzzles. I've ignored those in earlier games because there's no reward for doing them except to say you've done them, and Professor Layton puzzles aren't really that fun to me when they're not part of the story (even if they're only part of the story because somebody says, "Hey, can you help me with this puzzle?"); but in this game I've been doing them.

What was the context of this?

I picked Zork I because it's a classic game. You'll probably want to find a manual if you don't have one, though; I don't think the game even explicitly tells you your goal. And don't feel bad if you have to look at the hints a lot; I've played a bunch of Infocom games (from the "Masterpieces of Infocom" CD), and I don't think I've beaten a single one without help.

I haven't in a while. Maybe I'll rent Sherlock Gnomes from there once it becomes available. (I'm not seeing that at full price.)

I recently watched "North", and it didn't seem that bad. It wasn't especially funny, but I wouldn't call it one of the worst movies ever.

I'm pretty sure I do, except for days when I never go outside.

Did these idle games you were playing include Cookie Clicker and/or Clicker Heroes? Those are the only idle games I play (without spending any money on either of them). But they don't take up much of my time, because I don't do everything I could do to advance; mostly they just run in the background while my computer is on.

FYI, I went to my local Toys "R" Us yesterday and there were no sales or any indication that it was going out of business soon. There was even a schedule posted of special events through April.

i remember having more trouble on the "first final boss" then the real final boss

Also the bonus boss was a total rip off of Shenlong (though Toriyama did dp the character designs)

There is a second bonus boss in the GBC version, not sure about other ones. This one is secert option for a wish when you beat the first bonus boss

Do you mean even if you're looking things up in a guide? The game didn't seem that hard to me when I played the NES version of it, because I followed Nintendo Power and that guidebook that came with the game. >_>

I'd actually start with the first one and play them in order, since each one seems to be more complex than the last. As I recall, the NES version of the first one is pretty crude and slow-going by today's standards, but the remakes are better.

I've been playing against the computer on level 10, the hardest. I'm not sure how hard it really is, but I can't beat it. I must be learning things, at least. You can then Google or look up on Wikipedia the openings that the computer says you're using.

Today I was in a McDonald's, and the woman in front of me was trying to return her fries because they were just warm, not hot. That seemed rather spoiled of her; I don't know whether she was able to return them.

Regarding the original incident, couldn't you have just kept telling the customer, "Sorry, that's also a soda."? It might have been hard not to laugh after a few rounds of that with a single customer.
