Mario games are a bit more fast paced, have slightly larger levels and a bit more freedom how to go through them while Yoshi games have slightly deeper gameplay mechanics. |

I get that it is a literal world at war, even more than XC1's world, but they went hard with the "focus on survival, no fun allowed" story themes to the point that it limits world lore and design mostly to that. Don't get me wrong I really like XC3 for the most part, but I think it should have had a bit more variance in it. |
