Food waste has also been a major problem at migrant shelter city with the new arrivals coming from countries around the globe wanting culturally-familiar food.

Imagine supposedly fleeing for your life and making a trek across two continents to make it to a new home and when you get there they don't have the food you want to so you just don't eat it.

The Post reported that a family of four could be provided nearly $1,000 each month, which comes out to $35 per day for food.

I'm all for immigration, but I really hope NYC is also putting more funds into helping the homeless population that have been struggling in the city for years.

Seems like they are trying to manufacture a war between nationalist extremists and migrants and the battlefield is various states around the country. The government could easily come out with a solution for all of this but some in power hate minorities in general so much that they'll do everything they can to make it hellish for them to live in this country, citizen or migrant.

Stuff like this infuriates me. What calms me down is the fact that its NYC doing this with their own budget and not any of federal funding.

yeah, this isn't great. city workers in general already don't get paid great with a few exceptions

To be fair, they're not trying to go to NYC, they're being forced there.

Most if not all want to go to NYC specifically because of their unique right to shelter law. The city is legally obligated to give temporary housing to anyone who asks for it.
