That's tough because it's only 48 hours. I can do a big trip to Disneyland for 2 days, but even with the most expensive room and most expensive tickets, that's only $21,000. No way we'd be able to spend another $54,000 just on food and stuff.

So it was two things. First the name "Uncle Ben." Even in the early 1900's black people weren't treated with the same respect as white people. Black men were only ever referred to by their first name or as "boy" "Uncle" or "old man." They were never addressed respectfully as "Mister" because they were seen as beneath white people and not deserving of that respect.

So the uncle in Uncle Ben's is a holdover from that time period. Even if that's not something everyone in the present day was aware of, it still had to go.

Then there's the picture itself. It's not that it's "minstrel-y" it's that he's wearing a suit with a bow tie. Similar to what black servants wore in the past. It perpetuated the image that black people were subservient. And at the time the picture was taken, a majority of black people were domestic servants.

So it's things that don't seem like a big deal if you don't know the history behind it, but I'm glad they changed it.

For stating what was easily observed? They still needed to give medical attention right after cuffing him, and shouldn't be standing around for five minutes with him just laying there, but this doesn't appear to be another case like George Floyd.

It's not exactly the same no. But they still ignored him repeatedly saying that he couldn't breath and just left him lying on the ground. The dude went from freaking out to completely silent and they took 5 minutes to even check him.

I'm on the side of the protesters but it's normal for this kind of thing to happen.

Since Hong Kong, COVID has been a huge deterrent for these kinds of protests. The same people yelling and holding up signs in large groups will be sniffling and feverish in the next few days. They then either stop protesting or spread their sickness to other like-minded people. Happened during the George Floyd protests and that was pre-vaccine.

So... Excessive police response is okay because... The protestors will get sick???

No. Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital and moved the US embassy there instead of Tel Aviv. We didn't literally move the capital, we just moved where our diplomats are, as a way to say "we don't recognize Tel Aviv." It's taking a very clear stance, but we didn't have the power to actually change where their capital is.

This. I don't play Fallout for this shit, and it is an annoyingly larger part of the game than I would like.

If you're playing on PC, you can download the Sim Settlements 2 mod. It let's you place down a new item that will let the settlement building happen automatically. Makes settlements much more hands off.

And there are mods to either completely disable the attacks on bases or to change how they work and how frequent they are.

Of course, these are all temporarily broken by the new update, so you'll have to Wait for them to get fixed. But with mods you can completely change the part of the game you don't like.

The even more basic instinct is that they're floating/falling and it feels weird so they flail in every direction for something to hold onto.

It's this TC. I can't swim, so my first instinct in deep water is to panic, which causes me to sink, which causes me to panic more. I'd need actual lessons to be able to learn because just telling me to "relax and you'll float" is not going to help me actually overcome the "but what if I don't float" thoughts.

Nice! Now to see how long it takes for the mod community to unbreak mod support. Can't wait for FOL.

IIRC, things download faster in sleep mode, so it probably won't be a full 5 hours.

Yeah it sucks that licensing issues cause some anime to just disappear from streaming. A lot of the older ones go out of print and end up costing a fortune to get a dvd/bluray copy too.

I think the dubs in Persona sound fine. My only gripe was changing Chie's voice from cool and calm in the original to the hyper, bubbly girl we have now in Golden. I'm guessing that's the kind of VA's you mean? The over-exaggerated ones that try to carry over Japanese mannerisms into English.

sub vs dub is dumb. if you aren't a Japanese speaker you have a bias for subs because you don't realize how cartoony/exaggerated Japanese voice acting can be dumb at times. Not saying dubs are always better, but the realize why it sounds off because you actually understand English and can detect the minor nuances better.

I personally prefer subs because the dialogue is closer to the original than with dubs. With subs, you just have to deal with any changes the localization team feels wouldn't make sense to western audiences. But with dubs, lines can be completely different because they're also focused on making the lines have a similar number of syllables to the mouth movements. That said though, some dubs are fantastic, regardless of dialogue changes.

Really, if you're not getting hung up on some of the choices for blade designs, it really is the best one gameplay wise. I hate how slow it is to letting you actually use things like chain attacks & a full set of three blades, but after that, it's by far the most fun & dynamic battle system once you get the hang of it.
