Royalty with the title alone and none of the responsibility means the sole defining characteristic is that it's a title given and acknowledged by the majority of people

To me, the fact that Elizabeth could've been given several other titles that would've meant exactly the same thing (Pirate Princess, Pirate Queen, Pirate Leader, etc.) is a good example that a purely figurative title of Princess shouldn't be included.

Kairi is absolutely a princess. She's been referred to as such by both Shayna (her biggest opponent) and William Regal. She also has a constituency that produces plundered treasure which she brings to the ring at times.

This just seems like a regular pirate captain - not sure that really qualifies her as royalty. Are we to understand that there's a Pirate King and Queen and some manner of royal succession? Because otherwise it just seems like a meaningless title used to describe a leadership status or position that could easily be represented by a half dozen other words. I'll admit that I don't watch NXT, though, so without knowing the exact contexts of all this I can't say for sure.

Kingdom Hearts Kairi is a weird one too. Was she technically considered the princess of Radiant Garden at some point? Alice was a Princess of Heart, too, but she wasn't the princess of Wonderland. And I don't even know if they've referred to her as a Princess of Heart except in passing since the first game. It was a huge part of her character back then, which is a point in her favor, but it's played little to no part in the story since that I can remember.

usum was definitely disappointing, but the continual hyperbolic comments about this game being "zero effort" just make no sense to me when there's clearly a lot of unique content that was produced for the game. too often this thread has derailed far past "this isn't for me" into "this is somehow a bad thing for everybody" which doesn't seem to match any of the many reviews or other opinions i've seen across the internet.

Hyperbolic statements like implying that criticism of this game is due to people not wanting anything about Pokemon to change ever isn't helping anything, either.
