One coworker personally, they had it all last week and still feel like crap this week. My mom's pissed off at her friend for coming to their water aerobics group a day after she and her family traveled through 3 airports - turns out she got COVID along with her husband and kid, and they all talked shit about booster shots. My mom's overreacting a bit, but her friend/her family are definitely morons, so they should expect an earful.

Getting rejected is the worst. Courting is like any other human activity that sucks, but we have to do it somehow. And for men in that's just putting your dignity and well-being on the line.

It should, but I don't think it does except for the 2% of time someone is unusually good or unusually bad. Everybody else gets the same 18-20% from me at restaurants. (Well, except for people who just hand me my fast food - they get a buck or two) I think most people are the same - we just look at it as paying part of the servers' salary.

Tipping hasn't made any logical sense in years, but it's particularly out of control now. It no longer has any connection with now good your service is and is more about 'do you respect your server (or the person who hands you a coffee) or not'.

been part of numerous companies where everyone is BUSTING THEIR ASSES to do great work for customers. guess who gets the rewards? not the people doing the work. guess which direction companies continue to head in? that direction. the people with money, whether through luck or (usually) inherited wealth continue to entrench themselves in their positions of wealth through influence of policy.

My anecdotal observations are chronic use of phones as their primary/only computing device effectively erased their ability to learn desktop computing except when utterly necessary. The rest of us think it's hilariously stupid but that's what has happened.

I take it as a profit opportunity: If you're old enough to know how to use a real computer, you're going to be rolling in it doing tech support for these poor saps who can't figure it out.

Never saw the appeal of these to be honest. But I guess Im a bit of snob when it comes to collectibles. Ive always hated chibi type things. Give me NECA Ninja Turtles, Masterpiece Transformers, Palisades Toys Muppets, etc. Something high quality that actually looks like what its supposed to be.

All of those, plus Gwar, Halestorm, Black Label Society, and Arch Enemy. Then there's bands like Nightwish and Lacuna Coil (if you're counting subgenres). I could probably think of more if I had time, but it's a genre of music where I'm more likely to recognize when other people name bands than I am able to name the bands myself off the top of my head.

If we count hair/glam metal, the list goes up substantially... but I suspect you don't want to count that.

Same goes for Nu Metal. You did mention Korn, but I feel like you probably don't want to talk about bands like Linkin Park or Limp Bizkit.
