Was he on a losing streak? I admit I didn't watch every episode but all I remember from what I did watch was him running in and attacking people who were having matches, and being angry about SOMETHING which I thought was that he wasn't getting any matches. Maybe I filled that in myself because I just happened to miss every Impact he actually wrestled on, but I really remember something about him not having as many matches as everybody else.

The 3DS demo seemed like it'd be neat if it wasn't shoehorned onto the 3DS with not enough buttons, and the trailers look okay. But it's an Activision Spider-Man game so it seems like a toss-up at best.

I know PPV posters don't mean anything, but I want to believe that the No Way Out poster/commercial is telegraphing the finish to the match. AJ will help Bryan win and they'll get back together, but somehow it'll end up with her being the one in control of the relationship now, which keeps it from just going back to the same thing as before Wrestlemania.

Indeed. A used 3DS typically goes for about $120 on ebay, so unless you have the Zelda 25th Anniversary edition you'd be losing $50. And even if you do have the Zelda one, better to hold onto it even if you don't want to use it because the value is just going to go up.

Yeah I think the thing is a lot of people are misled into thinking college is the goal, but nowadays it's more often a stepping-stone the same way high school is. You're much better off going to a relatively inexpensive state school for undergrad, and leaving the expensive schooling for your postgraduate studies.

I think the real issue is not that we need to artificially create demand for the degrees people are getting, or eliminate degrees that are less marketable, but that we need to create more realistic expectations for what a given degree is actually worth. The tragedy is not that these people have crummy jobs, but that they were led to believe they were working towards a goal that wasn't really within reach.

I don't really like traditional survival horror games but I liked ED's gameplay okay. It wasn't like God of War level combat or anything but it wasn't meant to be. Being able to target heads and limbs was cool, and honestly I liked the easiness compared to your Silent Hills and your Resident Evils. I just don't like video games where you can fight but you're not supposed to; in ED you don't need to run from any enemies.

Actually, when I beat the level, there was the green one for the Ramdao dude to pick up. That means I picked the green difficulty, right? Just making sure before I jump to conclusions.

The dude with the turban? The color he picks isn't the one that you picked for the playthrough, it's the one that beats it. The color that you picked for your playthrough is the one that you picked with Pious Augustus in the first level. Which I believe would be red if the turban guy got green.

It's definitely not the easiest, that's blue. Some say red is the hardest, some say green. I'm not really sure, but I would tend to say red is hard and green is medium.

The main thing it affects is which color of enemies you encounter more of. The same basic enemy types exist in all the colors, but they have slightly different properties. The most obvious one is that when they hit you, in addition to dealing damage, they drain your meter that matches their color. So blue enemies drain your magic, green enemies drain your sanity, and red enemies just deal extra damage.

Having low magic isn't gonna kill you, so blue isn't a big deal. Having low sanity also won't kill you directly, but when you're out of it, further sanity drain comes out of your health. So basically, green enemies become like red enemies once they get past the buffer of your sanity. Though it's a little more complicated than that, as all enemies drain sanity when they see you. So while red enemies will typically just deal extra damage when they hit you and drain sanity when they see you, green enemies can quickly become able to damage you just by looking at you.

Anyway none of the colors is actually HARD because you refill magic by running, even running in circles in an empty room, and can cast spells to regain health and sanity.

Numbers (including number based puzzles) are naturally easier for a lot of people to process and sort than letters, so it is possible a U could have a slightly worse effect than a 2.

If you give people the same or similar puzzles, there's a good chance the majority will find the one that uses numbers easier than the one that uses letters

Essentially, they thought a 3DS was as different from a DS as the DS Lite, DSi, and DSi XL were from the original DS.

The fact that Nintendo released so many different DSes that WERE largely cosmetic differences may have had something to do with that. There was only ever one Wii, so the Wii U shouldn't have that problem.

I think you're kind of glossing over the point of the article by writing off all these people's degrees as "useless philosophy/art history/etc undergrad degrees". There are some useless degrees in there, but there's also a guy with a doctorate in industrial chemistry, a guy with a masters in corporate finance, and a guy with a degree in civil engineering, to name a few. These are not degrees one would typically classify as inapplicable to the working world.

Most games don't use the d-pad or the L button. I don't understand how you can have trouble with the R button or the C buttons, your right hand is in the same position as always.

I guess if that's the monstrous thing you want to do, sure. I was thinking more along the lines of doing something so monstrous that people set aside their differences and helped each other to solve the worlds problems, the end result being something like TNG human society. I guess in one sense the end result is the same, a change in the way people think, only I was thinking it would be a willing change by the individual.

I haven't had a chance to talk to him about it, but he's the CTO at some internet company that got bought out for like $100 million a couple days ago. An article he posted on Facebook about the buyout mentioned that each employee was getting cash & stock as part of the deal, and as an executive he has to be getting more than most.

I'm very happy for him, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous too.
