I always liked the show because of Kotoko, and she still rules here, but most of the season being one big mystery was disappointing, so I was happy this season was made up of several smaller mysteries instead. I think all of those mysteries were quite good. Kinda surprised some people want more of the show's "overall plot," since that's one of the least compelling aspects of the series. I'd be happy for the show to go on forever, giving us more and more inconsequential mysteries and solutions.I also realized I forgot to comment on this post from a few days ago! I definitely agree that the hints at the overall plot are the worst thing about In/Spectre, and I'd be perfectly happy with nothing more than random mysteries. | Mobilezoid 04/03/23 5:11:15 PM #210 | I finished two anime over the weekend, one airing and one older. Blue Lock was pretty good! It definitely had that fun sports anime thing where it delves deep into the techniques and the characters grow in entertaining, borderline supernatural ways. It did a great job at creating tension, too. My only complaint is that, since every single player is a striker, their defense is always hit-or-miss. I'm not a huge soccer guy so maybe I'm wrong, but I think players never passing so they can selfishly dribble through the entire opposing team probably wouldn't work against actual defense players capable of stopping them. I also finished Slow Loop. I went into it expecting nothing more than cute girls going fishing, and it definitely had that. I was pleasantly surprised at how much emotion the characters had too, though. It's about two girls who meet when their widowed parents marry each other. The fishing and cooking bits were good, and very reminiscent of comfy anime like Laid-Back Camp (though Slow Loop was nowhere near as good as LBC). Still, my favorite thing about this show was the little moments where the girls grew closer or opened up about their trauma. It was all handled very well. --- **R.O.B.A.Z.O.I.D** (On mobile) |
