I know people complained about the sidequests, but now only did I not mind them, I thought there was a perfect number to them. Simple quests that give you cool stuff and change small things later in the game.

They could have slapped in a mission board that autofills with quests and call it a day.

The only time I felt like there was high levels of padding was the main objective of Chapter 14 (The Sewer revisit) and Chapter 17 (Overstayed it by like 20 mins or one section)

Despite camera issues, this game has some of the best boss fights ever

Loved and remember practically each one. Music does so much for video games. It's definitely top 5 FF soundtrack

There's only one boss I thought was kinda lame and that was The Arsenal

I got the game in September but I held off till January to play it.

This game is a easy GOTY for me. I loved it so much

The artstyle and lighting alone deserves a award. This game preserves so much and makes it look so much better than 90% of FF15.

Music is done by Uematsu, so its a automatically godlike and a easy 11/10. This game has so many battle /boss themes and they are all AMAZING. Each one is unique and memorable

Combat... I love it and its easily the Squeenix's 2nd best combat system, but there a few things that bring it down kinda quickly, like air combat, lock on/ camera, and bosses ending stagger early to change phases.
Not as fluid as Tales combat, but after playing the demo like 30 times and finally the game, Its great but there's room for improvement

Characters...Love everyone including npcs which is rare. Main cast is excellent and pretty faithful. VA is great but there was like 3 characters whose voices I didnt like.

Story...loved it, but I see why people would be concerned. Theres a few changes I don't agree with, but with some of the added changes to the main game, I'm willing to see how it plays out. Honestly there was one chapter I didn't like and one chapter I liked but thought dragged to much. There's also a lot of 'slow walking' parts of the game, which I don't mind at first, but repeat playthroughs will make it kinda annoying.

I give this a 9/10

Fucking loved it! Definitely the best FF since X.

I beat X-2 earlier this year, giving up on trying to get everything. Followed like 4 guides, basically had to do things in sessions.

I started that playthrough 6-7 years ago. It kinda soured my feelings on the game, and Why I don't bother with games with excessive quests/grinding. (FFX had a part in this too)

Still like the game, though.

Expert Mode allows you to change your level based on your exp reserves. You get a lot of exp for doing quests and would quickly be overleveled if it isnt on

I greatly enjoyed it. Far, FAR better story and characters than whatever XCX brought

The setting was amazing and badass, it was cool to go further and all.

I enjoyed combat much more in general compared to XCX. Everyone feels nice and has a neat gameplan

While the soundtrack is good, I dont think its better than XCXs soundtrack, and doesnt come near FF. The rearranged soundtrack is good tho.

Minor and Major Pros:
- Expert Mode is a godsend, Cant imagine playing the original without it
- I like all the playable cast, which is rare
- Grinding for rare drops is actually not bulls*** like a lot of RPGs, mainly cuz %s are reasonable and the chests linger after loading
- Took a moment to get used to the voice acting, but now I love it
- World Building is GREAT
- Gem crafting is cool and simple
- Game loads very fast
- Getting stronger through story is very, very nice

Minor Cons;

- No always-on positional marker like XCX enemies turn and track very hard and often in this game compared to XCX. Kinda annoying
- A lot of empty areas. While the game looks nice, there isnt much reason to visit a lot of these areas
- Sharla feels under-powered
- No AI options. Should be in every game that has AI partners
- Lots of copy pasta 'Unique Enemies', only like 10 of them are notable
- Chain Attacks feel random at times. Shoulda been a timer
- Camera doesnt pan far back enough
- Mid-game, Nintendo released a patch that made the quest tracker somewhat worse/ different
- Only 3 save slots

Major Cons

- The Vision stuff is cool, but it gets old FAST, and kinda kills the pace of tougher fights. It also changes the music to something inferior
- The Level/Color Tag system is dumb. 1 level can make a difference between a reasonably tough fight, and a fight that seems impossible cuz you cant hit them. happened to me on a certain climax fight and the soured the whole moment
- 90% of Sidequests are generic as f*** and should have been regulated to a mission board. Theres so much tracking and backtracking for dumb s***. Cant imagine playing the original without the tracker
- 80% of the armor and stuff is ugly as s***

I give it a 8.5

The DE features definitely helped, cuz the original is a pretty ugly and messy looking game. XCX (a 8/10) has it beat in soundtrack and exploration. No plans on playing XC2 cuz it looks very lame

Gen 2,3, and 6 was the peak of my interest.

Gen 3 is my absolute favorite. It had everything.

Gen 7/ Moon is the only Pokemon game I've dropped.

Pokemon Go is gaming biggest wasted potential

I had a strong feeling that Gen 8 was not going to match up to previous titles/ current gen games, and I was right.

Currently not interested in anything Pokemon unless it made by not-Gamefreak

Basically Halo 1 + ODST in a Halo Wars 2 setting

+ full 60fps, which they announced
+ They showed off a lot of different weapons
+ Open Worldish ala ODST and Halo 1's 2nd Level
+ Looks to be closer to Doom 2016/Eternal in some mechanics. Most likely personal upgrades and tools like the grappling hook
+ It looks more interesting than 5, hopefully no Prometheans or Locke

- Artstyle is weird for Halo imo, colors look flat, Sound is bleh. In some shots it looks great, but in others it looks like the least impressive Halo game to date
- That guy on the ship is probably gonna be annoying
- Its being made by 343i

Very interesting, but not console selling interesting
