I grew up with a dog and loved him. I haven't had a pet since I was a kid. The vast majority of my friends have cats, just a few scattered here and there with dogs, but I think I like cats more.

I used to like dogs more. They have a lot of intelligence, they help humans out in many useful ways, and they're really friendly. Dogs will easily like you more, but they're also needier. They also kinda smell bad, bark, slobber, and try to eat your food. Cats are less friendly to you as a guest, but if you take the time to give them space and stuff, they will come looking for you and be affectionate. Cats are not always 100% down to be picked up and cuddled and stuff, but then again, I'm not always 100% in the mood to attend a dogs needs when it needs it.

I also have had two very cute experiences with kittens and I think kittens are the cutest thing ever. One time, one of my students volunteered at a shelter for abandoned cats and kittens, and just seeing how adorable the kittens were melted me. I picked one up that was like trembling and it slowly calmed down in my hands. Another time, a friend got a new kitten, and it was scared about everything in the house except me and slept with me the whole night.

I'm more of a homebody anyway so cats fit the vibe more, and they just have funny mannerisms and expressions and stuff. So do dogs, but I think I vibe with cats more now.

It's always funny when I'm sleeping over a friend's house that has cats and the friend is asleep in the room but I'm awake in the living room. The cats come out and we just do some fun silly shit lol.

Ironically the very documentary that made him relevant got so many people into going for records in those older games. It took away the thing he cheated for.

That is actually pretty satisfying in its own way. It's like he wanted other people to know he was good more than actually holding the top spot. Cause bragging you have the top spot is only gonna make people hungrier. All based on cheating too!

Sometimes I have dreams where I'm straight up pissing, like pissing a whole gallon of pee and it feels like I'm pissing. I then, either mid dream or mid waking up or post waking up (hard to tell), I have the thought "my god, I definitely pissed myself, there's no way". But I didn't pee myself.

But nobody gives a shit anymore. At best, he was a decent player that had one killer run in the 80s and is holding on to the only W he's ever gotten in his life. Which is still lame, even at best. At worst, he's a cheater. He doesn't even have close to the high score anymore, so it's not like he's even got the title anymore. I'm inclined to believe he cheated based on everything surrounding him. He might be the lamest gamer of all time though.

It's been on my mind since I saw it Saturday. I loved it.

My four favorite parts are

-Bowser: "My army. Koopas! Goombas! Whatever those things are!"
-Bowser: "Come, jam with me" *begins playing 1-2 on piano with giant claws and Kamek adds sound effects, btw this is a direct reference to the Blind Mario piano video on Youtube
-Everything about the star sequence. Luigi shielding Mario to give him the opportunity at the star, Mario not wanting to do it without Luigi, the dust settling and an orchestrated Star theme playing, the cinematics of them wrecking everything
-Peach: "And Luigi? You're so brave."

Nah, I like the interactivity of the M&L games. Super Mario RPG has some elements of it but I want it all the time.

I enjoyed the Mario movie more. It's not shy to embrace the games for what they are. I'm a huge fan of the franchise and it delivered everything I wanted. Just the Mario Universe in the context of an actual world with some fun references, nods, self awareness, and some nice moments. Amazing soundtrack too.

Sonic was good, but I don't really care for Sonic as a franchise, and it was good because it did it's own thing with the Sonic characters, but sometimes feels a little off (like how he calls Cyclops Dad or whatever lol).

How did you fit in the theater?

To me, it felt a little weird, not in a bad way or anything. My friends and I were all 31-29, so we're at that age where we don't have kids but we're also not a kid, so we're just going as dudes who played Mario lol. Before the movie, I saw some kids walk in with big Mario character plushies and I'm like, oh god I'm here to see the same thing as them lol

It doesn't effect anything of long term being there, but was just something to note

I've been a fan of Mario since I was 3. After seeing the 2nd trailer when they went on Rainbow Road, I was like, that would've been so much better to see for the first time, so I avoided anything after that trailer.

Everything hit the right notes for me. I only wish there was a scene of Mario flying with his SMW cape (even though it was referenced), or something about the Boo haunted houses. I really liked Peach's character. I was kind of surprised to see the self depreciation aspects of the movie, since Nintendo is generally very anal about their perception.

I turn 31 next week and I invited only my closest friends (and a less close friend lol) instead of feeling obligated to invite everyone. Was just nice timing all around.

People use that rational to say "well if god is perfect and I'm in gods image (or gods messenger), I too am perfect because I embody gods perfection" and then abuse kids because that was what god intended them to do.

Nostalgia isn't inherently a bad thing. I think it's normal and healthy to find comfort in something just from a long attached meaning or familiarity.

I think for me, the difference is when there's superiority tied to it. For example, "I love this Backstreet Boys album, the tunes on it are great. It was my favorite when I was in middle school and I remember listening to it every day when I got home" vs "Backstreet Boys was the peak of boy bands, all of todays boy bands suck and aren't real music".

It stops you from being open to new experiences for the sole purpose that "it's not what it was", which is impossible to ever replicate. It also introduces an element of bias when trying to be objective.

Sometimes it makes it feel as though "because it had meaning for me, it should have meaning for you"

Being a clergyman means that you're in a position of power that the state can't touch, you get to act out all your inner shit desires in the name of god and nobody can question you and you're safe. Also, the fact that other clergypedos get away with it only attracts more clergy pedos. Instead of feeling shame or wanting to act around their desires for kids, they know theres a place that they'll get accepted for it.

Kindergarten requires going to a lot of interning and schooling, doing a lot of planning and lessonwork, getting shit pay, being a govt worker, and then potentially losing it all for touching a kid.

Naruto, the first anime/manga that I enjoyed of my own volition, has now gone to shit with a latter half that most people hate, a sequel that most people hate, and still being the poster child for "how not to write female characters".

Harry Potter is noe a fucking joke of a series whose creator has destroyed any goodwill it had because she's a piece of fucking human garbage.

Final Fantasy 13, another game I wanted to enjoy and looked forward to, is now ALSO a laughingstock of a game with two sequels nobody wanted and most agree that it's when FF began its downfall.

Honestly, I'm REALLY tempted to just bandwagon everything from now on and not even TRY to enjoy anything of my own volition anymore. There's no point trying to be me and have my own likes and opinions if it's all just going to keep coming back to bite me in the ass over and over and over again.

I do have 112 hit confirms and I mixup between hellsweep or ff3 with sometimes other options like cr 4, db3 or 4, ff4 (esp if they stay on the ground), df2, with some other moves. The mixup of hellsweep or ff3 is pretty good but it only works if I know when they're exactly gonna get up so a lot of times I only get a ff4 and then they're safely away.

A major aspect too is just defense. So many strings into 50/50s, or strings into stances into 50/50s, or high crush strings and high crush stances into 50/50s or grabs that idk how to break.
