Apple has the same type of limitations with regards to audio quality and 3d audio and certain specific equalizer settings being limited to only iPhone users.

In my experience, retailers who offer special discounts/etc. do NOT offer release date delivery, so this is basically a case of the TC trying to abuse the system to get the best of both worlds.

Like, don't get me wrong. I get the urge to hate literally everything GameStop does. They're a terrible company. But what TC did goes beyond GameStop. It's just fraud, no matter which store it's from. It's fraud, whether it's GameStop, Target, or your local mom and pop store.

Not really. Like GameStop has plenty of promotions for abuse. Like that one time they ran a buy 4 get two free promotion at the same time as a 60% extra credit promotion for trading in 6 games at once. People made thousands of dollars trading in and buying certain games over and over again that day at different stores that day.

Unless I misread something (in that case I'm really sorry) you went like this:
1. Received GameStop copy on release and played it
2. Received Amazon copy (cheaper) by mail later (slower)
3. Returned Amazon copy to GameStop

So essentially you tried getting both the price and the faster release benefit from 2 different outlets by gaming the system here (pun intended). It's a scam through and through.

They really power tripping out here. Back when Zelda was coming out I locked in the 60 dollar price on Amazon but wanted it on release. So I asked if I can return the Amazon copy when it came in the mail because it was going to be late using the GameStop receipt and still keep my 10 dollars and was instantly banned for it.
