That looks more like a strip steak than a fillet. Ive never seen a single fillet ever look like that.

Expensive? Yes. Time consuming? Not at all. Takes me about 3 minutes to make the rub. Its just finely ground espresso beans with my coffee grinder, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic, rosemary and thyme. Rub it on. 3 minutes on each side. Down the hatch.

Also I wouldnt trust a $10 filet of that size.

That looks Blue Rare to me, but I also know that internet/phone pictures of steaks absolutely kills the lighting on it. Seen a few cooks on youtube make videos on it.

My main issue is the sear on the outside, and using butter to cook it in. Butter burns much, much quicker than the meat. The heat required to get a sear on a steak is way above the butter threshold. But if you must, add a little bit of oil into the pan as well to help. Since I assume you cooked it in the 5-7 range on your stovetop purely in butter, it just never got hot enough for a proper sear.

Anyway, that looks like a 10/10 steak and horseradish rules.

My go to is a 14oz prime ribeye cooked on a propane grill.

This is not attacking the root problem. Also its not clear how this works with the way its worded. They get 400 a month WHEN they buy a house? So after? Dont they have to qualify first? Or is the aid factored in for the bank approval? Why would the bank approve lending to someone with an artificially higher salary for 2 years?

It just sounds like a lame bandaid just to help maintain property prices from falling and subsidize rich people.

Subsidizing demand results in higher prices, not lower. To result in lower prices you need to increase supply.

The other issue is whining about free money ruining the economy is a lot more effective than we give it credit for. I disagree and think that line of thinking is stupid but every day I meet another person in real life who buys it.

Think about it like this. Why do houses go up? Because there is people buying. You give a bunch of buyers money to go buy a house, what happens? They go up. Then you have negated the check you gave them.

The solution is regulations and increasing supply by well, undoing regulations like certain nimby zoning restrictions. Also preventing corporate buyouts of homes and programs that monopolize the rent as we know exists.
