They went on hiatus years ago, though it's been so long they might as well be broken up

The game has many themes, I'd hardly say it's about "despair"

Self identity, environmentalism, challenging fate, and a few others but not despair. Despair implies a complete absence of hope and I think the plot and character arcs (what little there are) kinda go the opposite direction of that.

Another World's map theme is beautiful but people sleep on Home World's theme, it's really good too!

I have in the past messaged mods about this shit and nothing. The only way to get them to delete something that a subset of mods don't want deleted is to put them on blast.

There's no conspiracy of mods working to ignore violations. Sometimes stuff just isn't moderated properly, it happens.

It had an absolutely incredible PC game in the 90s called Shandalar that I loved. The fact they never revisited the concept of a single player RPG is so depressing

I would imagine because screening for every single cancer would be super costly and take a ton of time

Yeah I ended up not enjoying it as much as I hoped I would, D&D combat just isn't very fun to me

The only solution is to launch it into space. I'm sure it would find some BS way to make it back to Earth but it would likely take an absurdly long time

Lost Izalith is the only part of the game that feels actually incomplete, completely replacing that giant pointless lava field and making Bed of Chaos a real fight is all they'd have to do imo

I was interviewing for some position with the state's social services department. Interview consisted of 5 people all asking me questions one after the other, no conversation. As I would answer the question they'd silently take notes until eventually I would stop talking while they continue to write notes. It was really weird and completely threw me off. At one point I sat there completely silent for at least 20 seconds while waiting for the next question.
