In all seriousness, the latter half of this. No reason it should take forever for a good user to get their new harmless gimmick alt on the board; deal with troublemakers by specifically targeting them. 20 karma seems like a reasonable gateway IMO.

my experience with this is they wont, they double down on it And make it worse by doubling down.

The new guy d toast knows exactly what hes doing by posting a vague statement and probably will nuke the board just to show his power.

You'll get repeat trolls that keep making accounts returning though. But really, just need to let CE vent and mod accordingly. This outrage over Vegy, of all people, will dissipate within a couple days. Don't make drastic moves. This always happens.

The frequently banned are nigh incapable of disguising their behavior. New account and username would still get sniffed out once they start falling back on old habits.

And that's not even counting the ones that have to have all their usernames be similar.

Anyone who makes hundreds or thousands of accounts aren't going to be careful enough to disguise all of them.
