Which means people don't have to navigate through the front page, which means the message boards suffer as well. The site contests suffer from this because someone could arrive on GameFAQs from Google searches and have absolutely no idea a contest is going on. Obviously something needs to be done about this so the contests are more accessible to first-time visitors. Not really a loss. GameFAQs is the larger site with the larger traffic, but GameSpot is the more marketable site because it's not UGC-based like we are. People who view UGC aren't as inclined to click on an ad as someone browsing news. Thus, while our site is bigger, our brand/domain is less valuable to advertisers. It's a shame, but it's the reality of internet advertising. Rallying becomes significantly more effective since you need to rally far less votes to overpower our site's own natural voting base. Draven wouldn't even be possible if our site contests were still averaging over 100000 votes per poll like they were in the 2006-2009 years. After both Draven and Undertale, this board's users really don't want to see the same thing happen for the third time. In general, we don't mind rallies that bring in a couple hundred votes to barely push one entrant ahead of the other one in a close match. We do have a problem with rallies that produce our votes than our site's own natural voting base.
