IIRC he was IRL streaming during Twitchcon and left his stream running whilst he visited the mens room instead of temporarily going offline or cutting away to a BRB screen or whatever.

Pretty much the only thing people can agree on is that whatever happened was pretty damn serious, since it's apparently enough to effectively end his career as a streamer/internet personality.

If I were asked, consequences be damned, which 5 AT's to promote, I would go for Alucard, Ashley, either Lyn or Tiki, Midna and Samurai Goroh.

If I was asked very politely to please not risk inciting the ignorant masses with another Fire Emblem character, I guess I could swap it to Zero or something.

Especially when there's obviously the racist stereotyping involving watermelons.

...What exactly is his defence here? "Haha joke's on you, I was always an arse?"

Good riddance imho.

I think it's an attempt to bring Capcom down with him somewhat for not taking a tough enough stance on offensive behaviour in the past. Which is true to an extent (remember Capcom's halfhearted reprimand of Aris for his racist and sexist comments on the SFxT Cross Assault promotion?), but there's many more people, companies and industries guilty of that than just Capcom. It's par for the course for someone like him to deflect blame away when his actions finally catch up to him though.

I went through Eureka once until I finished Circinae Eureka (BRD weapon), and that was with Dante and numbers babysitting me through Anemos, Pagos and Pyros. Once was enough for me just to say I'd done it. I can't imagine how much harder it is and how much longer it takes doing it entirely solo at this point of the game.

That seems bonkers to me, but then I suppose you're effectively paying 7 people to carry you through the content, so it has to be worth their time once it's been split 7 (8?) ways.

Part of me didn't think that many people actually took those PF advertisers up on their offer for clears for real money, but clearly there must be if you're only getting on average $30-40 per clear. They have to be carrying a fair few players for it to be worth their while.

I guess some people just see it as paying for a mount that they otherwise wouldn't think they'd be able to get, because yes I can't believe people would pay (whatever it costs) just for a clear or gear that gets outscaled in a matter of months time.

Ishgard Restoration turn-ins are another good way of getting exp once you've run out of leve allowances, the main difference being you have to actually craft it yourself, whilst with tradecraft leves you can just buy the finished item and hand it in if you can't be bothered to craft it (assuming you have the gil).

Reprise is a nice situational skill for RDM. You certainly aren't using it every time you close in for your melee combo but it's good to get into the habit of using it to spend excess mana if you had 85+ for both immediately after you use Corps-a-corps, in a scenario where you know you aren't going to be wanting to go back into melee range as soon as you would be if you hadn't used it. It doesn't hurt that it's 300 potency for only 5 mana too so it's very cost efficient. RDM has enough inherent RNG to it that it's hard to have the same rotation cycling over and over so you have to adapt on the fly.

Yeah, definitely try out BCoB at level 50 if you can assemble a party for it. There's a reason it's excluded from roulettes (and not just because it's too difficult for most players to be able to beat); it's unlike any content that's come since. Certain abilities and mechanics it was balanced around don't exist anymore, although the Echo mitigates some of that. I'm glad I went through it at min ilvl the first time through, I don't think it would have had the same impact if I were just watching cutscenes and then immediately dps'ing them down.

I did Ridorana Lighthouse for the first time once Shadowbringers was already out, and was the only person doing the raid for the first time. Despite having no advance warning of any mechanics, I was able to figure out what the maths boss was requiring you to do. It was funny but also really sad to witness half of the raid seemingly incapable of basic maths.

If you really want to run specifically Dun Scaith, you need to be queuing at peak hours and hope it catches onto the coat-tails of people queuing for the Alliance Raid roulette.

Even then there's a solid chance of at least one person going "nope" and leaving as soon as they load in because they'd rather eat the quitter penalty than actually run it. As cool as it is, it just isn't a very popular raid, mainly due to the difficulty and the reputation it has for wipes.

I imagine there'll be a lot more people than usual queuing for the Ivalice raids tomorrow once the penny drops that they have to clear it to do Bozja Citadel. So at least you'll have an easier time getting into one!

They're pretty fun dungeons to do. People just don't like getting them in Alliance roulette because they can't sleepwalk through them like with Crystal Tower.

Yeah, as mentioned previously, it just reduces the strain on healers. Amusingly, it was completely necessary when my raiding group was doing BCoB on min item level to allow the healers to outright survive Gigaflares on Turn 13.

Tanking in Normal content is as simple as making sure your aggro generating skill is toggled on, occasionally using mitigation to lessen the damage from tankbusters, and making sure a boss is facing away from the rest of the group in case it has any cleaving attacks. With very few exceptions (like the once in a blue moon occasion where you have to use tank LB3), it's only once you get into Extreme/Savage content that you need to worry about mechanics like swapping aggro between you and the other tank, or using your invincibility skill to survive certain death raid mechanics.

If the new part of Ishgardian restoration is to gathering what the first part was to crafting, it'll probably spur me on to level Miner to 80 so I'll have them all maxed. Add in ocean fishing to that and you can tell there's been a concerted effort in ShB to get people up to speed on DoH/L jobs. It's not just something only the crafting fanatics bother with now, but the everyman as well.

I think people overstate how angry the fanbase would be with a Three Houses rep. Considering it's a 35-minute presentation, you know Sakurai would go to lengths to explain how different they are from the existing FE cast, certainly in the case of the house leaders, none of which use a sword as their primary weapon, basically to assuage people's concerns. Byleth might be a tougher sell, but only in the sense that he/she uses a sword, considering it has more in common with Ivy from Soul Calibur's snake sword than a Falchion.
