Do you have the 12 with the time manipulator? If so, it's more fun to play than FFX tbh. But FFX if you want a much more entertaining story. 12s is so damn boring and forgettable. I feel like it just slides off my brain.

I suck at Tactics and never cared enough to get good. Maybe one day, as I still own it on PS1 and PSP.

People say that like it's inherently a bad thing. Not even that it's true. But there's plenty of games that are way more shallow and a ton of fun. It actually kind of has to suck to be so uptight you can't enjoy something just because its accessible to more people >_>. Not everything has to be Diablo 2 or XCOM or whatever, I dunno, I don't really think on those terms cause it's anti-fun.

Is it really that hard to understand tho? It's still on a scale that barely any other game has ever done. And as much as people want to say it's the same caves again and again. It's really not. It's just unreasonable to expect each dungeon to have a completely different aesthetic. And in my 150 hour file, none of them were copy and pasted. I feel like you really have to reach to be able to not appreciate aspects of the game. It's nowhere near perfect, but it's not really been replicated in the 10 year since. Many have tried, but they never quite got it. There's a reason people keep going back to it. And before anyone gets into it, I don't use mods, so I'm not talking about a "mods saved it" aspect either.

I like how every insanely popular game hits that point where it becomes cool to hate. You'd think people who liked it would be the ones leftover. Who is so petty that they still go into topics to hate a 10 year old game lol. You been doin that for 10 years? If it's still being talked about 10 years later, how do you not realize you lost that one? I'm not even the biggest fan. I only lasted 80 hours on the regular games, then only got to 160 on VR because of the limited library. There's not many PSVR games you don't beat in the first couple hours.

I will say I don't think family members should just abandon each other tho. I think they should stick around and try to be the positive influence they need to change. Im too poor to throw my controllers. I broke a ps2 controller like that when I was on adderall tho. I was on the stealth mission on Freedom Fighters on the hard difficulty. I wanted to do it without looking up guides. It broke and then I couldn't finish it anyway. So, that didn't help. Lesson learned

Ah, edited while I was posting.

Anyway, the first part, I remember playing the lttp once while high and imagining myself as link going back and forth from the dark world and trying to explain myself to the villagers that were still mostly on my side.

How I had to murder these guards that kept coming after me and there were these magical portals to an alternate dimension hidden in hard to reach places. The dark lord was controlling everything from behind the scenes and I had to keep wandering into dungeons until I found the big bad and kicked its ass.

Was a lot of fun really, keeping that narrative running in my head as I played the game:

You got a good imagination. I never got that far with it. I could definitely see it elevating thr overall experience tho. I might try it out. Recently I've gotten into really looking an environments in post apocalyptic settings and trying to imagine how exactly they got that way. You can go into that with as much depth as you want.

I like the Switch well enough but it's hardly perfect. The Joycons suck ass and the system is already 4 years old (so it's debatable as to whether it's even in the current gen)

However, the brand-new PS5 and the XBox whatevers are simply not appealing in the slightest.

But neither were ps3 or ps4 really. They had a couple games that made it seem worth it if you had money you didn't care about, just like ps5. I don't pay attention to xbox.

The difference is people actually seem to like ps5s new gimmicks.
