Ask misguided questions that are close to the subject but completely irrelevant to it like you're interested but just not getting it. Eventually they get exhausted and change the topic or walk away. But confusion is infectious so they won't know who is to blame for the misunderstanding. You can pull it off in crowds but you got to have the social skills to handle the group effort trying to force you on the correct path. Sometimes they explain it so good you have to give them the win to keep them from realizing what you do. It's not the easiest thing to pull off and its actually just a personality trait I worked in through actual confusion but who knows, might work for you. --- There will always be exceptions. |
