The red flags I saw on that coupon were that it was a FREE! coupon for a rather expensive item (adult diapers...ask any parent how expensive baby diapers can get!!) up to $18...and the (fill in the blank) BRAND section with "CVS" stamped on it. The plainish looking paper is also not a good sign. All of those taken together really makes the coupon look strongly suspect. When I was in retail several years back I distinctly remember us getting a few fake Doritos coupons; YES even cheaper items can get fake coupons too. She said she got the coupon because the item was defective. So, I don't think it really matter how expensive the item was. If it was defective and they sent her a coupon, then that's that. And why am I not at all surprised that a witness has now come forward to say that the woman's story is not exactly as she insists? Where are you getting the info on him having a disability? Maybe I keep reading over it or something. But I don't see that... And why are you so positive the coupon was fake. It could be. But probably not. I think if the company knew, they probably would say something. New coupons are made all the time. And when I worked retail, I know that not everybody knew ALL the coupons. Idk. Or like it more than other places... As for me, I don't know which I would prefer. I like Taco Bell when hanging out with friends. But authentic is good, as well. More of a eating out type of thing. It's possible that they can refuse his offer of two weeks. It wouldn't be firing him since he is putting in his notice of resignation. Most companies will accept the two weeks. If he is a good employee they could even offer him more money/better benifits if he stays. If he's that worried about missing two weeks pay he should just ride it out until his start date and quit without notice. I think he's trying to avoid just quitting. As a courtesy. I don't think I understand refusing a 2 week notice. Either way, he'll be leaving. It's basically letting them know. I think one of the reasons is because he's worried about be fired as soon as he tells them about his leaving the company soon. But there are rules against that sort of stuff in certain places, right? Idk for sure, though... I don't think they'd fired him right away, anyway. Because in my area, there are only 2 of us when we need 4. And in his area(which works with ours, but is a different area), they have the normal number of people needed. Other: As a biker who rides a bike on sidewalks/paths, I hate it when I come to a traffic intersection and a car is blocking the walkway. (Has happened to me today during my bike ride a few times and has happened many times in the past... It's just annoying when drivers stop in-front of their line.) Unless you're riding a motorcycle on the sidewalk, you're a cyclist, not a biker. But it's illegal for you to be riding on the sidewalk either way (in most jurisdictions). Cyclists who think they don't have to obey traffic laws are the scum of the Earth. Its so dumb because moms were scared into banning little billy and susan from riding on sidewalks to keep them safe from cars pulling in/out of driveways (look it up) but now they have to dodge traffic on the road if their town doesnt have bike paths which is WAAAAAAAAAY more dangerous. Car lobbyists were happy because it gives people less accessable transportation options in non-bike friendly areas. I hate cycalists with a burning passion but not letting people ride on sidewalks outside of urban centers is beyond dumb. Nobody uses sidewalks outside cities anyway so whats even the point?
