Most arguments along that line are very short-sighted, and look only at what would happen if guns were suddenly made illegal and every law-abiding citizen turned theirs in. In practice, every single illegally-obtained gun was obtained legally at some point. If you cut off the legal supply, the illegal supply will also be cut off, making it so prohibitively difficult to get one that the vast majority of criminals won't be able to (and those that can aren't people the average Joe would be able to defend themselves against anyway, because they're going to be the more serious criminals with some kind of organized backing). Obviously, it's not that simple. That would be a long-term trickle-down effect, and there'd need to be a massive push of anti-gun enforcement to get the existing supply of illegal guns off the streets before disarming the people who need them for self-defense. But fundamentally, if there are no legal guns, there won't be any illegal guns either. That's just common sense. But I think that might be the problem. I think the trickle would take way too long. And definitely won't be 100%. There are way to many guns just around. Not to mention all the guns people have lost, gotten stolen, people who owned guns and died, or people who lie about those things happening. Or people who own a lot of weapons who are off the grid now. I just feel the trickle would be very slow. And it's possible that for a good amount of times, the only ones that have guns would be the people that we wouldn't want having guns. But as an adult, I haven't as much. I did move to a different state, though, so maybe that's why. Also don't have my old library card. I think the city I'm in has 3(Counting the one on base). There is a library around the corner, but I really don't know what I'd us it for, anymore. I'm more into buying books. Especially since I may put them down for long periods of time. And I already have a computer. For printing, I can just do that on base for free in my office. I could probably use the library on base for free, too... Also, I don't know where third one is... HillChange posted... I used it just this week for the first time in my adult life. I checked out a book on 3D printing, since the responses in the topic I made on here requesting help on the subject were less than helpful. Not only that, but for green_dragon, they even have some groups that look for new players to help them get into the game. The problem is that most of those games have a dozen or so applicants each, and they can't exactly accept them all. You also generally want a game that suits your schedule, which can often times exclude a ton of games. I guess that's true. I guess I also got lucky. Because of my work schedule at the time(11pm-7am), it was easier to find games since most people were sleep when I was at work. So they were awake when I was home.
