I've done this quite a bit in my life. And sometimes, I'm right at the final boss, or almost done. It's not that I can't beat it. I just don't sometimes. And I usually do have fun with them...

Though, certain games, I almost always, if not always, finish...

It use to be Polynesian sauce, since it was basically sweet and sour sauce... But not it's Chick-fil-a sauce, which is a mix of three things. One of which is honey mustard. Which is probably why I kind of liked it at first...

sure, there's ways to live life in a subpar annoying compromised way that will allow you to do the things you usually did, but thats no reason to say its fine, its not. places that didnt need proof of any medical information at all now require it. thats not progress.

Most places that have vaccine mandates are not usually places you need to go to have a good life. Examples would be places like bars, clubs, restaurants, etc... So far, I haven't seen important places like grocery stores have them. The ones I've all seen have mask requirements. But that's it. Tbh, I haven't even seen place that requires vaccines yet... And I don't know what you were trying to say with the short url that just led to the site, so you're "so there's that" mean absolutely nothing. What were you trying to say exactly? And bars aren't needed is 100% a point. They aren't needed. So, there's no need to cry about something. It's not like you're going to die without going into a bar. And honestly, they can kick you out of a bar for anything already. So, if you're going to cry about vaccine mandates, you should also cry about all the other rules you need to go into a bar...

And it absolutely is fine. You don't want the vaccine, That's fine. Things will be harder for you. But they don't have to be. You chose to do things the hard way. Most of the rest of the world wants to be safe. You don't care about that. And that's fine... But others may not want you around them because of it... And it is progress. Just progress you don't like, so you pretend it isn't... Lots of stuff changed requirements as time goes on. People use to sell alcohol without a license all the time. Liquor licenses were even a thing until the 1900s, it seems... So, things change all the time...

Banning people from going to, bars, restaurants, venues, getting jobs, going to school, and in some parts of the world, grocery stores, seems kinda like forcing. I just gave an extreme example since apparently anything that isn't that doesn't register.

They aren't banned, though. They just have to get the vaccine. And most grocery stores don't require the vaccine, but just masks. To this day, I haven't seen any grocery stores that require vaccines. And that's probably because people need to buy food. And even if they did eventually require it, you could instead do curbside pickup, which you don't need a vaccine for. And you can buy alcohol in stores, as well... Bars aren't really needed. They are just a public place to get together. So, even if you couldn't go there, it's not really a detriment to life... May schools also give students the choice of being vaccinated or not. And for the students that won't get vaccinated, they usually offer a chance to do virtual schooling. Most jobs have requirements that need to be fulfilled to actually get the job. Like at one of y jobs, I needed to have a CDL. And these days, most jobs, you need to have the vaccine. So, this isn't any different that all those jobs. As a matter of fact, at one of my jobs, you needed to get a ton of other vaccines. Not to mention a bunch more if you were going overseas... So, saying you need it for jobs doesn't matter as most jobs require many things from you. The fact is that even if you think it's forcing you, it's not. So you'd be wrong. Most, if not all, of these places could kick you out for a number of reasons. This is just another one added to the list. And most of these things have alternatives for people who don't want to get the vaccine. So no. You're not forced to get the vaccine to live or anything... And you can say you gave an extreme example or whatever. But it's still a shitty one. Everyone else who gave example gave good ones. You complained about theirs, and then gave an even shittier one...

Sure. But that's also assault. Which is against the law. Where vaccines are not. And yes. You kind of are forcing someone to do it. Because it's a coercion. You're threatening someone. So, those aren't the same Funny how you keep telling other that their examples and comparisons are bad when yours was much worse...

AFAIK, she can see well. The vet hasn't said anything when I've taken her. And she seemed to see stuff when we're in the house. Like when she plays with toys and stuff...

Actually, the same. It was a ton of pregnancies, but quite a few throughout middle and high school... At least 2 or 3 in middle that I knew about. But I think maybe a couple I didn't know about, as well...

My cat was laying with me yesterday then all of a sudden hissed and bit me.

My cat did hiss at me when in my lap once. I just pulled the blanket so it was between us, and then moved her more by lifting the blanket. And let her run away. She came back like 10 minutes later to curl up in my lap

Just a bunch of stuff. Like, when I came home after a month, she hissed at me and ran to the corner. And after Inwas watching YouTube for a couple hours, she came running and jumped in my lap. Earlier, she was in my lap. I picked her up so I could move, and she looked me in the eye and hissed at me. And when I put her down in the floor next to the couch, she kept hissing at me. Then immediately jumped on the arm of the chair next to me, and just sat there not hissing anymore. She also sometimes hissed after I get home from the gym. Maybe because of the soap I use, since it usually happened when I switch soap. But I know she can see. So, Im not sure why she would only go off smell. Like my dogs dont bark at me when they see me unless they want something. If I came home smelling different, then still know its me

I can understand my dogs pretty well. But I still don't understand my cat most of the time...

Many people may not due to some people not drinking or taking mushrooms...For example, I do drink. But I have never tried mushrooms. Would have maybe tried when I was younger, but never really knew anyone who did them. And now, because of my job, I can't take them. So, I wouldn't know anything about taking a couple grams of mushrooms. Or what the recommended dose is or anything... You assuming people can't have am educated conversation, but it's more like not every does the same things. Some people just don't drink or take mushrooms...

Not sure if that matters. Many people raised with lots of religion + pro-abstinence training still did stuff. I had a few cousins that did, and many people are school. And many of my friends who went to my private school (which was associated with a church) mentioned it, as well... So, just because those things happen doesn't mean much... Also, dating isn't always required... Though, some people do secretly date...

I think you school is less likely representative of teenagers. But that's based on how out of everyone here, you're the only one saying teems probably didn't sex. So, based on the people in this topic, you'd be the odd one out. Meaning, if anything, chances say that it's actually whatever school you attended is not a representative of most, if not all, teens...

Oh I know: questioning any change made for the (apparent) sake of diversity sets me up to be the bad guy. I tend to think that style of change is a cynical move on the part of Disney to say "look, we're diverse now" and it doesn't accomplish much other than play into the hands of those (i.e. right-wing talking heads) who can call it out for what it is: a cosmetic/corporate change versus a meaningful change.

It's good for the actors who getting chances at roles they couldn't otherwise play, I suppose, but I just don't think that's the way to do diversity. There are bigger problems, sure, and I'll give them credit for the way they've highlighted other cultures in other movies recently...but that one feels wrong.

I never said questioning it made it seem like you were against diversity. I said the way you asked made it seem like that Had you asked differently, I most likely wouldnt have actually said anything And I personally dont see it as cynical. Theres no real way to show diversity except showing it in their case. And thats fine. Like I said, it doesnt need to be in everything, though. Its like theyre doing to much. But there are some dumb people who would get mad at everything. Like Disney could remake 10 movies, with 9 having a diverse cast. And one was remade without a diverse cast, and those people would get pissed. Im not on their side. But I am fine with some more stuff having diverse casts So, I disagree. I think they are doing fine with the diversity. Doing well enough to bot have to try harder than what theyre doing. But whatever. Like you said, it can help actors to play parts they wouldnt have gotten otherwise

I don't have a problem with stories living on if people want to. I personally suspect this particular story wouldn't live on if it weren't for Disney (or Disney imitators) but if people still want it more power to them. My original point was that perhaps the original could be left as a piece of history if the storyline is going to have to be greatly modified to make it acceptable. But even then who knows: maybe they'll surprise me and making something new and better? If they have a winning way to do it: fine and good.

Im almost 100% positive this story would have lived on without Disney. Because if Disney didnt pick it up and wrote about, I guarantee someone else would have. Especially these days when people are looking for new ideas

And not all of them are greatly modified. A couple small changes like her age, and getting rid of the horrendous death and stuff. Also, not much gets left as just a piece of history. People remake stuff all the time. And hey always will. Its what helps to keep the story alive. Which is kind of the point of stories

Well, the "IIRC" is the point, isn't it? It would have died and been forgotten if it weren't for Disney. Not all stories, even the ones selected by Disney, need to live forever. Granted, Disney will try to make them last forever (with good success) but they don't NEED to. And they shouldn't in some cases. But yes, in this case Disney isn't going to go that route.

The IIRC was probably more of a habit than an actual I cant recall it. And maybe it would have died. But most likely not. Those old stories are still around. And if Disney didnt remake, I assure you someone else would have. And they may have kept the original work. Disney changed it (and many other dark stories) to be more kid friendly. Which I believe is a good thing

I also see no issue with certain stories living forever. People like them. So why end them. Just because you dont like them

What they're really trying to do is to squeeze more money out of characters that have been successful, of course. However, I'm not convinced it's the RIGHT thing to do. Why not make new movies about places that are actually diverse rather than forcing it into unnatural settings? Or at least change the setting of Beauty from France to, say, Houston: go West Side Story with it!

Really: is it truly appropriate to show people who appeared to come from different cultures all happily assimilated into a white/French culture...? It employs diverse actors, sure, but is that REALLY the right message? Wouldn't it be more appropriate to see traits from different cultures rather than expecting the French one to dominate? I say they made a surficial change that looked good on the surface but that they weren't really doing anyone any favors in the big picture.

Anyways, given their past it's good to see them trying and there are certainly bigger problems. I just disagree with that style of modernization.

I would say Hamilton did something similar, but better: they added characteristics from different subcultures rather than just different faces for the sake of different faces. There was more of a point being made...although it worked better on some levels than others.

But Im talking about the diversity. Whether they had diversity or not, they would be squeezing money out of successful characters. So, Im not sure what that has to do with the diversity part

As for making new movies, they do sometimes. But even then, they might just take an old fairy tale people forgot of and make it diverse. Which is also fine. I dont see a problem with that. Or if they make a classic diverse Its fine either way

If you asking me if its ok, I think its fine. By asking the way you did, it makes it sound like youre against diversity, tbh Also, since these are fairy tales and not true, I dont really see why youd have to go for realism or what would be appropriate or whatever Most involve magic and shit

I like when people get upset that classic Disney movies are being changed because Disney has almost zero original stories in their classic catalogue. Even Frozen is based on a HCA story.

Personally, I dont care if the classics change. Sometimes, they can turn out well Other times, not so much. Though, thats all opinion, anyway But I call them classics since thats what they are. And they were usually well received during their initial release

I think Disney is on the right track when they make new stories that highlight different cultures (thinking of Moana and Encanto and etc). I think they're on the wrong track when they squeeze diversity into stories where it doesn't make sense (i.e. Beauty in the Beast set in medieval France) and try to shoehorn people from different cultures into French cultural norms.

In the big picture, though, it should be viewed as an 'overcorrection' in an area where correction is needed, so fair enough. Hopefully we'll get past the stage where we need only Chinese people in movies set in China and full diversity in movies set in European locations. Either way we have bigger things to worry about.

As for Snow White...it is more fantasy than it is European so I don't mind seeing them mix things up a little there, but it does seem to me that Snow White should be Caucasian if you're going to remake it. Better still, given the many questionable associations and the fact that it's not really that a great of a story to begin with...just let it die. Does every Disney movie really need to live forever? Not even SE is dumb enough to remake, say, Final Fantasy 2...and that's more or less what's going on here.

I mean, like I said, they shouldnt force it into everything. But I do understand trying to add more diversity to some older stuff. Lots of older stuff were made in different times with less diversity, so I see what theyre trying to do.

As for letting movies die, they probably wont happen. The classics are classics for a reason. And people will buy it pretty much every time the vault opens. Not only that, but the story itself wont die, anyway. Its not a Disney story. Disney has their own version, but the original came from somewhere else, IIRC It was a darker story, as well

UCMJ saved my brother from an ugly custody battle. His wife cheated on him with another Marine. My brother said he wouldn't have her lover dragged through the military court if she agreed not to fight his custodial rights over their daughter. Got it in writing. They've got even shared custody now, though she lives primarily with her mother because of school. It was kinda shrewd but also very smart of my brother to pull that off, especially given the emotion in the situation

Something similar happened to my buddy. He had ended up marrying a girl from back home and brought her here. Everything was going well at first, but then they went to a party of something. She ended up sleeping with this guy. And then there was a bunch of drama. Anyway, they ended up getting divorced. And now, shes married to the guy she cheated on him with, and they have like 2 kids and stuff

I am actually happy that Hollywood keeps pushing the muh diversity agenda. All it does is give us indications (actual numbers) that the people who want push for those ideologies are the minority and that, like those movies, those idiotic ideologies will fail miserably and eventually be eliminated from society.

I think diversity is good. But at the same time, doesnt need to be in everything. But having no diversity would definitely set back the world into a worse way of thinking

A lot of them were side stories that happened at the same time. A lot of them of pretty interesting. One of my favorite stories being the Vantage Points stories. Which I read in order, and cried at two different parts
