It's fine. The decision to have Blackquill as co-counsel was genius. He's easily the best part of the case. He's so good that he brings out the best in Nahyuta, too.

The Uendo stuff is good. Geiru is fine. Bucky is bad, but at least they were smart enough to keep his screentime minimal (aside from overusing that "THREE FRESHES OF SOBA" flashback). It's a shame Courtroom Revolutionnaire 2016 is isolated here because it's a banger.

MGSV has a handful of really good character or story moments. I would never recommend someone play the game just to see them.

I thought it was a bummer Bison never got a shot in a Character Battle after he showed he had decent strength in Villains.

Yeah, 2008 was not a good contest. 2007 was lightning in a bottle, and Allen should've left it at that.

I've always maintained that Villains was the best mini-contest.

It was a good call to have Phoenix actually face the potential consequences of the DC Act, even if for practical purposes, it didn't affect him much. It was also a brilliant decision to have Rayfa be the investigation partner so you can learn to sympathize with her and she can learn to sympathize with Phoenix.

The first trial day is a mixed bag. It's kinda wild to me that Datz lies through his teeth the entire day, you expose that he was lying through his teeth the entire day, and then Phoenix loses the case anyway. I guess it drives home how unfair the system is.

Trial Day 2 is outstanding though. Having Maya channel Tahrust made for a really unique testimony, and choosing to kill himself to try to protect his wife is a strong motive.

My favorite is when Bonny lifts up her hat for the bunny to appear and nothing happens. That brief confused look up into her hat before she looks back at camera and starts bouncing happily again is so good.

Yeah, I think Nahyuta is a victim of the game's structure of jumping back and forth between locations, as well as having to give all the characters a case. I don't mind 6-4, but it does nothing to advance Nahyuta's character, especially in the aftermath of the reveal of his relationship with Apollo and Dhurke in 6-3.

It's good, but it has some structural problems. I think they could've split this up into two short days instead of one long day. I also feel like it doesn't explain the details of the murder well. The clinching evidence is supposed to be about the blood in the hole of the casket, but it feels like they barely draw any attention to that fact during the investigation or the trial up to that point. Having Apollo and Nahyuta barely even acknowledge each other in the only case where they face each other directly feels like a big misstep, too.

But I do enjoy the characters a lot. Apollo and Athena continue to be a really good duo. Trucy is super good here, and her testimony is a top tier moment for the game. I love the Bonny/Betty reveal. It's top notch presentation. Retinz is kind of a mixed bag for me before the reveal, but I enjoy the Mr. Reus persona a lot (banger theme, too).

Yeah, I think this is my take on it. Big Shell feels way too sterile and same-y, but the layout is really good for stealth gameplay. I love the jungle setting in MGS3, but I think it was just a little too open and too easy when it comes to stealth.

Liquid can understand the SUPER BABY METHOD but not basic genetics

It's just weird that nobody acknowledged in-game that Liquid was way off base

I thought it was more the idea that Liquid had been lied to about being the inferior one to motivate him, but I guess that could be it, too.

It still seems kind of lame to boil down a villain's motivation to a misunderstanding of basic science regardless.
