Some of the floor bosses are super susceptible to ailments. Which was probably intended, to reward players who figure it out and take advantage of it. But there's not a lot of indication when that's true so it punishes a lot of others players who assume that ailments are useless, as they often are in RPGs.

I remember being on forums 10+ years ago where posting two comments in a row would get you warned (you should simply edit your first post if you have something more to add) and all subsequent posts after the first post on a single page of a thread should have your signature removed to increase readability.

And inevitably some dude who has 40,000 total posts across the forum will post garbage in random threads but will be treated as a local celebrity and there is no tolerance for noobies arguing with someone so respected within the community.

It's pretty good at writing like 90% correct code. So some manual tweaks needed at the end but gets you most of what you want if you're being lazy or need to do something in a syntax you're not great at. If you have no idea what you're doing and try to build something with pure chatgpt code it's probably not going to get you far. It's also pretty good at helping you rubber duck debug something you're working on.

Very short summary is he wanted everyone to elect a president who would promise that they don't really want to be president, briefly use their presidential powers to strip things down, then resign.

For what it's worth, I think there's only one way to summon the *real* Kingdom Hearts. The ones we see in KH1 and KH2 (and I think BbS?) are all fake Kingdom Heartses.
The one in BBS that kinda just shows up when you make the X-blade is said to be a super duper real Kingdom Hearts in the game's reports.

Keyblades are said to be man-made counterparts to Kingdom Hearts. The -blade, however, coexists with Kingdom Hearts.
It is only forged when two hearts of equal power intersectone heart of pure darkness, one heart of pure light. At the time of its forging, Kingdom Hearts appears. It must be noted, though, that this Kingdom Hearts is special. Unlike the Kingdoms brought about forcibly and artificially through the collection of hearts, THIS Kingdom Hearts is a perfect and complete union of ALL the worlds' hearts. Surely it was over this that the ancient Keyblade War was fought.

The thing with KH isn't that it's complicated, it's that it keeps changing its rules for how stuff works every other game.

You're almost de-incentivized to even bother trying to figure out why what just happened even happened cuz you figure whatever explanation you get isn't going to be the explanation they stick with the next game that talks about it.

I mean, look at the main villain and try to figure out how his characterization, motives, and even personal timeline actually make sense between all the games.
Agree with this. Kingdom Hearts 1's plot in a vacuum is the only time in the series where the universe's rules are somewhat straightforward and easy to follow.

It's not even just the side-games mattering thing. If you just look at BBS's plot alone the game's self-contained rules and Xehanort's goals - with Vanitas, the Unversed, manipulating Terra, the X-blade and manipulating Ventus, summoning Kingdom Hearts to do something - it's already near-incomprehensible.

Israel has fucked up their information campaign on the hospital bombing so badly that even if they didn't bomb it, they've made themselves look more suspicious about every other incident in Gaza right now. In the very immediate aftermath of the hospital bombing, some official Israelis were taking credit and justified it by saying that Hamas uses hospitals as bases. Then they backtracked and said that they looked more and figured out they didn't bomb it though. Then said that they'd publicly release audio recording proving Hamas did it. Then the audio recording they release to the public was found to be faked.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Ahli_Arab_Hospital_explosion
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/3/1/0/AAZQKKAAE-re.jpg

To be honest I lean toward trusting the US intelligence opinion the most, which is leaning more toward Hamas having accidentally done it, but Israel's lackadaisical attitude about the death toll and their loose attitude about being truthful about it at all makes every single thing they say and do sketchy by default.

Why did people try to oppress others to play their way so much? Was it just a way to look and feel superior?
I think it's that they're personally proud of their accomplishment doing "thing" and when they see someone else do "thing" in a way that looks easier, it makes them feel like their personal accomplishment isn't as impressive.

This does happen in a lot of games but to be fair, there are games with weird game design decisions where I think it's fair to say that the devs shouldn't have allowed a certain strategy to work. Because that one strategy is way better than any other strategy and there's no point wasting your time trying to beat the game a different strategy.

Like off the top of my head as an example since Dark Souls was already mentioned - I think a lot of people agree that Dark Souls 1 Gwyn shouldn't have been made parry-able. Most other bosses can't be parried, so it's weird to suddenly make it possible on the final boss. And it's way easier to hit a parry on him a couple times than it is to play the fight any other way. I wouldn't disparage someone who beats him that way because it's in the game one way or another and it's not like you're even doing anything buggy or unintended. I think it's just a weird decision on the dev side. So that kind of thing happens sometimes and if it were something more egregious that affects the entire game's gameplay I can see why some fans would at least personally prefer not to play that way for their own enjoyment. But I wouldn't try to tell someone else that they're playing a game wrong.

P4A / P4U's story is worth a quick playthrough. Especially on the P3 characters' side - it's neat to see where their characters go in the years after P3's story. Weirdly the P4 characters don't really add a lot to the story even though it's ostensibly a P4 sequel more than it is a P3 sequel.

I think the execution of his character plot in P3(FES) is pretty bad. He shows up and the game outright tells you that he's now kind of best friends with Junpei off-screen, and by extension he's now very close to you too. But there isn't actually any sort of gradual character development. When the drama kicks in and it's time to decide the end of December things, I'm like "I barely even know you". P3P FeMC route fixes that a lot by giving him a social link.

A lot of P3 game's plot is a slow burn. The main plot meanders in a single direction until 3/4 into the game as the team's just killing off big shadows month by month. Like if you were to describe P3's plot, it feels like 90% of it happens in the last couple months. And so the narrative for the first 3/4 of the game is more character-focused with all the little side-threads like Strega, Aigis and the Mitsuru family's Ergo research, Shinji + Ken + Akihiko dynamics, etc.. Ryoji shows up at a time when the main plot starts really kicking into gear and accelerates toward an ending and so I think that's part of why his character development suffers. And yes, I know obviously he is kind of Pharos and Pharos was kind of there all along in the plot but I don't think any of the short little scene with Pharos really add much in terms of the player connecting with Ryoji.

The left lane isn't the "speed limit is 70, the car is going 70 in front of me, but I want to go 90 so fuck this asshole for hogging the lane."

That's not how this shit works & I'll fight anyone on that
You're objectively right but people will refuse to hear it and prefer to believe that they've discovered a secret trick to go 10-15mph over the speed limit at all times because they've never gotten pulled over for doing it. It's like trying to convince someone that you're not supposed to drop your trash on the ground wherever you want in public. You're not supposed to do it, and there are rules for it for a reason, but as long as they never see consequences they can't comprehend why they shouldn't do it.

They also shouldn't have any major well-known landmarks named after them (like Herbert Hoover and the Hoover Dam). And also they probably shouldn't be a major plot point in a huge Hollywood blockbuster (so Chester A. Arthur thanks to Die Hard with a Vengeance).

So someone like...say...Rutherford B. Hayes.

I literally don't understand how they ever had value in the first place
In the initial hype, prices were simply manipulated. Buying and selling to themselves at ridiculous prices. Then came floods of tweets and news articles like "this ugly monkey picture sold for $250,000!". After reading those things, very-easily-fooled people assumed that ugly monkey pictures were truly worth tons of money. So they bought them with the intention to get in now and sell them to other people who think they're even more valuable later. Unfortunately there are no later people. The only people stupid enough to buy in are the ones who initially bought in.

This also all makes slightly more sense in the context of crypto/blockchain hype still kind of being a thing. And so there was still some ideas in the air that blockchain is a magical technology that solves every problem. And hey, here's a thing that uses blockchain. I don't get it and no one else I know gets it. But apparently it's valuable because I read something saying it's valuable so I'll pretend I get it.

With that being said, one of the quirks of ponzi schemes is that you can make money on ponzi schemes if you get in early and leave before it collapses. So some people did make money still. Especially the people who knew it was all a scam. The easily-fooled people who thought they were investing in something real probably didn't get out in time.

But realistically who plays the game and Rally Winks every turn in every battle. Multibonk is also a really good move and if you're a nerd who Tattles everything then you'll have Goombella out all the time anyway.

You should obviously have Yoshi out in the overworld almost all of the time since it speeds things up so much.

I like Vivian the most if you're just doing basic non-FP moves since I usually have more fun going all-in on BP. Her basic attack is quick and easy and relatively strong. And Fiery Jynx is really cool if you do feel like throwing in an FP move.
