The camera experience and battery life are the top reasons why people change phones - and that SE lacking. Nobody cares about the processor of a budget phone.

Not in the criteria that matter. People want the big displays, long battery life, stellar cameras and a contemporary design. The SE has none of those.

This is why I've yet to see an SE in public. Literally every iPhone I see is something with Face ID.

Bang for buck is what makes the SE better than any other phone on the market (minus dumbphones). The original iPhone SE released in 2016 still gets security updates today. Theres no android that comes in the same ballpark as that, not even the flagships

You dont have to buy a $2000 flagship for any of the hardware deficiencies I'm complaining about. The screen sucks, the camera sucks, and the battery sucks. Its really only worth it if your goal is to get iOS for as little as possible, and even then Id recommend a prospective buyer to try to find a used 13 mini or something. The excellent SoC is all it really has going for it.

Youre paying for the support/security updates. You can buy an iPhone SE and be safe using it for far longer than any android. Thats why its more cost effective. If features matter more than that to you, budget is a secondary concern for you
