Pretty sure I said summarized that correctly then. Why does it matter if these people are vocalizing something a lot of people agree with or are angry with if they are still able to produce the content you are fiending for?

Their harping about routine events is taking away from the time that they could be utilizing to produce content that we want. They think that theyre so righteous by saying I support/condemn current thing. Its nauseating to watch them do it.

You struggle to comprehend the point and also misconstrue what Im saying. The overwhelming majority of people who follow celebrities, game journalists, youtubers, etc. dont care about their outrage over tragedies. They want to consume content that those people are known for. We want the clowns to dance and nothing else.

Youre somewhat correct in the sense that they should only be focusing on entertaining me if I follow them. Their perceived obligation to comment on issues is cringe and largely disingenuous.

Of course I do not like when innocent people are killed, as any sane person would feel. Im simply pointing out how over the top public figures get with their performances on social media to appear virtuous when they wont really think much about it after the news cycle is over.

Its annoying to see so many public figures post about the event and pretend to care. I see writers for websites and managers of sports teams doing this and its cringey. Nobody actually cares that you claim to be upset and its performative on their part. Shut up and provide us with the content that we follow you for. I look forward to a week or so from now when people are not pretending to care about these events again.
