People treat blind people like infected zombies, they wouldn't really want to talk to you.

and people don't do this with deaf people?

yesterday i saw a deaf woman communicating with a deaf man on the train (well, maybe the man wasn't deaf, i couldn't tell) - the woman was making all kinds of weird noises while she was signaling frantically and a lot of people gave her weird looks. you might be overestimating how normally deaf people are treated in society.

Not really sure how things are in your country but in urban areas in the US nobody blinks at deaf people. I sit next to a group of them on the train every day and they are super friendly

Can't wait for Keenum to get exposed in denver. 7-9 season incoming.

Hope Bridgewater lands on a team that really wants him. Bradford should be a solid backup QB or maybe a starter on a team that drafts a QB in the first round. He needs depth because he will die in 4 games

So the only way to get to the next floor is taking the elevator

Blind isn't even a consideration. Losing my hearing would affect my quality of life only marginally. I know basic ASL and could learn it quickly. It would barely affect my job performance.

Going blind would incapacitate me completely. People my age do not adjust well to losing sight. I would be unable to do my job, unable to do any of my hobbies, and unable to tend to my most basic needs for months until I adjust.

It's literally the same gameplay as every other DQ game. Save a few minor improvements over its predecessors.

Don't know if smuffin has actually researched Reykjavik, but the cheapest hotels there are $150+ per night during travel season. If you're looking for comfort accommodations, that's $300+ per night. And these hotels are not in prime locations, either.

Anyway, thanks for the tips, guys. I think I have found a few desirable apartments in the city for a decent price. Just have to get the wife to sign off on one.

Hey everyone!

I've done a lot of domestic travel and visited Canada and Mexico, but I have not yet made it to Euope.

I'm doing a trip to the UK in May with a stopover in Iceland. I've got a good idea on my UK lodging plans but Iceland has been a little trickier. Most hotels are more expensive than I'm used to paying, and a friend recommended I use airbnb, which I have never used before.

Any tips for using the site? There are a lot of options, but it seems like a bit of a crapshoot. Is there anything else to rely on other than pictures and reviews? Every place I look at seems to get 4-5 stars so it's hard for me to tell if a place is good for the price relative to others.

Any other travel/lodging ideas or tips are appreciated. I'm traveling with my spouse and she prefers private accommodations.

Well, I don't care what you do.

It probably would not be a linear increase, though. Economies of scale and also I eat somewhat richly.

I know you don't, but you did not beat the assertion it costs more and takes more time so it's a hard lifestyle for some.

Of course it costs more to eat healthy, but $200 per person per month is not unreasonable. It is a very reasonable amount of money to spend on food.

So I am disputing your assertion that you cannot eat fresh/healthy food on a normal budget. $100 per person is incredibly low for a food budget. That is not a normal amount to spend on food and expect to eat well.
