I do know he did some stuff that is related to the Misborn trilogy, but takes place in the far future, I haven't read those, so I can't comment on them.Warbreaker is a good place to start, standalone so you don't have to invest that much time, plus it introduces you to the way Sanderson's magic systems work. If you're just picking between Mistborn and Stormlight Archive though, I'd say Mistborn. It's shorter and there are less viewpoints and characters to keep track of.
