Hey, whatever works. Still, the way I see it...

Mercedes might not be the most skilled but she fights honorably and treats the Arisen with respect. Not to mention she gives out that slick sword and resolves to get support for Gransys from her homeland.

Meanwhile the duchess screws you over at the first opportunity, acts limp-wristed in excusing her crappy behavior and then skedaddles after literally being carried through an entire dungeon, resolving to do absolutely nothing. Maybe I'd like her better if she showed some backbone...but hey. Whatever works.

I've actually been enjoying season 2 more than the first, which surprises me because I really enjoyed the first.

Yeah S2 is doing well for where one left it, my only problem is that the first half just seemed to be pushing the main problem forward without having good B-plot resolutions. It's definitely picked up over the past few episodes though, the last one that aired was amazing. Can't wait to see how this season ends!

From Capcom's perspective, there isn't much initiative. World is their obvious foray into monetizing the series, starting with small stuff like Emotes and cosmetics and eventually, I imagine paywalled monsters and Ranks as DLC. With that in mind, the console crowd would probably throw a fit if another MH comes out with that stuff for free, as it has been and should be.

Plus there's the issue of 3DS dying a slow death over the next year, so if they do localize a version it'll probably be on Switch...and again, splitting sales if done too early, consumer complaint if done too late.

Basically, it's a Portable 3rd situation all over again.

My vote goes to Samus.

Well anyhow, I'd have intercourse with 1, but for relationship purposes I could see something platonic with 2.

I'm... not hyped for World. I've played the series since I was 9 but it feels like they're trying to appeal to a much more casual audience. The changes are way too drastic for a single generation.

OP, good, Fusion is my personal favorite. It basically took the good parts of Super, finally put a "horror" story on top, and gave Samus a ledge grab to boot.

Samus is a vote short of seventy, as of this post.

Here's to Samus sweeping, she deserves it after being buried for so long.

TBH I'm surprised Teach lost, she seemed like a contender from the comment support.

Isn't irony the whole thing about Fahrenheit 451? I mean its a book about the danger of banning books that ended up being a banned book.

IIRC Bradbury actually despised broadcast television (even PBS was only "okay" in his eyes) and wrote F451 because he believed TV would lead to complacency in terms of society and creative narrative. That's why the wife is portrayed as pathetic/unlikeable, because her existence revolves around shallow soap operas.

Of course author intent doesn't always translate to the finished product, and he did spend much more time on what happens when print is stifled vs what happens when TV flourishes. That's why the general understanding of the novel is "don't ban books."

Regardless, Ray's probably rolling in his grave over this.

It's pandering to the console crowd so of course it'll be easier to get into. Hell, most of the changes they rolled out at announcement are for people who never played a MH in their lives. Changing armor at camp, less strict gunning, walking while healing etc.

Give Capcom a couple years and you'll probably be able to buy your way through, too.

I can't speak for anyone else but personally the Zero Suit is the main point against Samus for me. She was better as 7ft tall, muscled up Amazon in my opinion.

The MGS2 comic even has Sorrow talking down to Ocelot because of their connection, so it's headcanon to me.

The problem with MGSV is replacing Hayter. If they'd kept him for the real Big Boss then Sutherland as the Medic would've made so much more sense.

Crows/Ravens/other birds. They've got the vast majority of what we can do in terms of higher thinking, not just on instinct but legit reasoning abilities.
