Honestly I wouldn't try to make twitch your only income until you grow (if you're good at it and lucky) and you're sure it can support you.

What I always find weird is that I follow a couple of streamers that have around 250 subs each and they only make like $700 a month and despite that they manage to live comfortable lives. Not sure how that paltry income is anyway at all sustainable. Then I checked one of their Patreons and the guy makes $400 from that. So $1000 a month without considering ad revenue, donations or bits.

I mean $1000 a month is pretty paltry before taxes. That's part-time job tier for all of the effort required to sustain it.

Kind of makes me want to donate money to some of these guys when I listen to them 4-8 hours a day.

Even if you have like 500 subs and make $2.50 per sub you end up making only $1250 a month or $300 a week. Even when I worked at a grocery store at 30 hours a week I made more money than that.

We had a public speaking class in uni. I have "fond" memories of yelling "just fuck it" during one of my speaking assignments because I lost my train of thought. Same thing applies here. I just blank out. The information is there but I am not able to access it for whatever reason.

e.g.

Today I was asked what "static" meant when it came to programming in C. I know the answer to this, I've worked with static variables and static functions extensively in my past jobs. I took me a good 2 minutes of silence to recall that information, despite it being pretty damn trivial. Like I just cannot recall information while under stress unless I am prepared for it.

Or maybe it has to do with not regularly accessing this kind of information? It is not something I have worked with in a few months, to a few years.

Or I simply lock up while under any amount of pressure. It's insane.

Yes, I work in an industry which has a very wide girth of technical questions that can be asked which are not really possible to prep for. If you do prep and are not prepared for certain questions I find it hard to context-switch to the proper train of thought, even if I actually know the answers to the questions already.

I think there's a related case where someone will ask me a question (this happens frequently between my mother and I) where I will not expect that question to happen and I will "lock up" and give some bullshit answer and not actually speak my mind. This frequently comes up when my mother say something like "How warm was it outside" and I don't have an answer for her because despite just going outside my mind didn't find that information pertinent.

She's overheard a few of my phone interviews and I've been aware for some time I stutter and say umn a lot when trying to think for answers to questions.

I find it very hard to give coherent answers under pressure and generally speak better when I am not under pressure.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Just learned about this today, and I am very, very disappointed that this act was passed. At this point nobody should be sharing their real life information on the internet at fear of it being used against them by the government in the future.

A provider of electronic communication service or remote computing service shall comply with the obligations of this chapter to preserve, backup, or disclose the contents of a wire or electronic communication and any record or other information pertaining to a customer or subscriber within such providers possession, custody, or control, regardless of whether such communication, record, or other information is located within or outside of the United States..

This is a huge violation of the 4th Amendment, and even more so is a huge violation of other countries rights. The government should not be able to forcibly obtain people's personal information located anywhere in the world, especially when the constitution explicitly states that the government is forbidden to do this without probable cause.

GameFAQs is nowhere where it was 10 years ago. Even on PotD you would see a constant influx of posts. The problem is that people who would have come here for boards 10 years ago now, go to a site like Reddit.

None of the games I play have any real presence on GameFAQs. The only board I actually somewhat frequently visit is Dragon Ball General, but as Super is coming to an end I might stop visiting for a while.

My carrier is T-Mobile. I really want a replaceable battery but nobody seems to make phones with replaceable batteries anymore.

Used a Galaxy S6 for the past couple of years.

If you're willing to spend $300 on a CPU, you could grab a Ryzen APU ($99), Motherboard and RAM for under $300. Maybe. If your GPU isn't that good you might see a overall performance increase too.

That math would work well. Looks like you can get an 2x4GB Kit of DDR4 for around $100 and there are several B350 Motherboards for under $99. I have recommended 2 other people build systems like this in the past, and one of them was very happy with the results.

It's a fairly standard thing, I am actually pretty stoked because this means the company is actually taking things seriously and the hiring manager likes me enough to waste 2 and a half hours of people's time.

I've had a half dozen interviews in the past few months but most of them have been around an hour, usually just being interviewed by 1-2 people.

Its the first time in 10 years of watching TV in the way that I do that there is not one single TV show I watch on a week-to-week basis. Only shows I have seen recently have been on streaming platforms (Star Trek Discovery, Stargate: Origins).

Then again Ash vs The Evil Dead and The X-Files comes back on this week I think.

Best processor your motherboard supports is either the 4790k (Best bet) or the 5775C (Very hard to come by, may not be supported).

If you do not have a Z87 or Z97 chipset there is basically 0 point in upgrading.

Were you still using xFAQs in 2018? Obviously I haven't done any work on it in a few years but where did you get the latest version from? Does anyone still use this?
