I'm not entitled to you not holding it against me. But yeah, I just don't care how people perceive me until I actually have a personal connection. At that point, I become loyal and respectful as I possibly can.Thanks for tagging me as a "goodone". I'm not offended or anything, so no worries. And I know you didn't ask my advice, but I did notice that you remind of some other people I know. You seem to have a thick skin, and you also acknowledged somewhat that other people might not have as thick a skin as you. In a professional or networking situation, first impressions are everything, so rather than trying to win people back after potentially offending them, it's easier to not come out of the gate swinging. It's the name of a famous college, which is all that comes up on google, aside from a french word meaning something different from what I was taught. From what I was taught, it was a term Jean Paul Sartre used a lot, which means "To exist and nothing more". I do remember seeing it in writing so I know it's a real word, unless I'm somehow horribly mistaken, but even so, that doesn't give the other host the right to disrespect me in front of like 1,000 people who are going to listen to the ep. | Joker98 08/15/20 4:43:16 AM #1 | We've been going for 2 years, just hit 120,000 downloads. We've interviewed over 100 people, which has been an incredible networking opportunity. I DMed the other host on Facebook to let him know I'm not interested in doing the show anymore because it doesn't make me happy anymore and that I'm not growing as a performer or learning new things. Obviously the DM was longer and more professional sounding. The truth is that I feel like more of a punching bag than a respected co-host. On the episode we recorded a couple days ago, I told a joke which was responded with by a mocking "ha. ha. ha.". Not how I want to be treated. In that same episode, I argued a certain word is a philosophical term, which is what I was taught while studying philosophy in college. When the other host couldn't find this word on google, he said "Bull ****, it is not a word" after rudely berating me, instead of politely disagreeing. So, yes. I feel like more of a punching bag for his amusement and to make himself look good in juxtaposition, than an actual co-creator of a show. People tend to want to correct others more than they want to elaborate without confrontation. I'm not saying that's you, I just mean in general. Sometimes nice people end up on the other end. Now I know my assumption was wrong. And since I was wrong, my insults did nothing to you. So, no harm done there. I wasn't assuming I was wrong, but I also wasn't self confirming I was right without any actual insight on you. I would of moved on from this topic without attaching that assumption to your username. At worst, you think Im a dick, which I can live with. It's simply a strategic way to get information online. I mean, that attitude cones easily for me, so Im at least kind of an actual dick. I just don't really care if I look like an asshole. I do wanna say that I think acting so "abrasive" as a way of getting results will probably have negative overall effects in the end, if you care about how people perceive you. Someone who actually cares usually has some insight they want to share or a story to go along with it. Something that triggered an emotional response that explains why they want to know if there's any phobes here.You've lost all senses - the reason I'm not providing substance to the topic is because I don't want to taint the poll with my opinions. I'm not pushing any agenda other than trying to see where CE stands on trans issues. Not only am I a huge proponent of LGBTQIA+ advocacy, but I actively call out transphobia, homophobia, etc when I see it.
