My solution, have at least two cops or armed security personnel on every school at all times when the school is open. Have only I'm open that a guard is present at. Every person who enters the building needs to be cleared for entry and has to pass through a metal detector.

how do you want to pay for two armed guards at each school? congress cuts funding for education constantly. teachers have to pay for a lot of their own supplies because the budgets aren't sufficient enough.

and you're really okay living in a society where it's NORMAL and ACCEPTABLE to need armed guards at schools? no other country on the planet does that.
