Namco peaked at the 2nd game which I think is also still the highest selling game in the franchise to this day. Could be mostly due to nostalgia and legacy of the PS2/Gamecube era idk but it's a very fun simple game with no unnecessary gimmicks that broke gameplay flow like critical edge or finish or whatever it was called.

Weapon Master was also a genius idea for its time and still now.
