The uproar over CRT is driven primarily not by a genuine concern about racial division, but by conservative opportunists looking to do exactly the sorts of stuff this topic is about and silence entirely legitimagte and factual discussions of race and its role in American history. To hop on board with that manufactured outrage is to make yourself a useful tool of that crowd, who rely on obfuscation and conflation of the real issues at play in order to drum up public support.

If you enter a discussion about CRT saying that something needs to be done about it, those who are currently trying to do something about it will count you on their side. What they are trying to do isn't a thoughtful excision of only the bad, harmful CRT you think is out there, but broad-sweeping, censorious actions like we've seen ITT. Your "nuanced" take doesn't exist in a vaccuum.

Are 4 and DmC available on current gen in any form? BC on Xbox maybe? 1-3 are on the Switch eShop, and 5 is on Xbox I know

Users would be able to score games 1-10 based on how hard they are. Obviously everyone's standards for difficulty are different, but on aggregate I think you'd at least get a rough idea for where a game stands.

I wanted to revisit it now, having had the opportunity to play other 3D Marios more recently. But this is a game that relies so much on creating the sense of discovery, and it's too fresh in my memory still to really have that. I'm through the Sand Kingdom now and just going "oh yeah, I should go get that moon I remember."

I don't think these generalizations are correct at all.

Edit: for example, it's common among liberals and the left in the US to assume their opponents simply don't know or haven't heard the right statistics about X issue, or can't see the contradictions in their arguments. Whereas it's common on the right to think their opponents are election-stealing satanic pedophiles.

The US has some of the harshest sentencing laws in the western world, and every suburbanite over 50 still views their local downtown as a Mad Max hellscape where they will be murdered on sight. There is no evidence that these policies have had the intended effect, unless the intent was to produce the world's largest prison population.
