His whole situation is very sad, but not unexpected. I absolutely loved shit like Jackass and Viva La Bam as an insufferable tween/teen (and still do in a nostalgic sort of way) but holy hell what a terrible way to live.

You can't help people like Bam. They have to want to get better or they won't. I've dealt with that in my own life with more people than I care to count.

Unless you mean the type of person Bam is specifically rather than the type of person on that show, then yeah he is still blaming everyone phase. He seems to think that the medication he was on is what made him worse at skateboarding and not his alcoholism. If you told me that the scenes in Jessi's house in Breaking Bad were based on Bam and his party house I'd believe you.

Her and Kurtwood are clearly so much better at acting than any of the kids in that 90s show. When it's just the two of them, the show is actually OK. Then one of the terrible kids comes in and ruins the scene.

I'm waiting for a supercut of all their scenes. Can't stand the kids and the 90s aesthetic seems to just be memberberries.

I'm glad Samus is female. She's a cool character and it makes her stand out from all the other protagonists of that time period.

Personally, I don't "make fun" of fat people.

But I do get enjoyment out of fat people falling youtube videos. Why is it funny as fuck when someone fat falls?

I don't even feel bad about it because they have plenty of padding to not get severely injured.

I know there's a degree of facetiousness to this post, but the additional weight is more of a detriment because that increases the overall energy potential of the fall which is then evenly distributed including to the organs - which have already been fairly stressed for a considerable amount of time already.

No because it isn't the true motivation. Regardless of what is consciously thought and felt and said the main motivator is schadenfreude. When someone gets skinny you feel powerful by forcing them to change their experiences. If they continue to fail you get a punching bag for a while. Regardless, either scenario is about the person inflicting pain for self motivators and not an attempt to influence their surroundings - that is a bonus.

The only character who could be considered trans in any sense is Zelda and even that is suspect because

1)while the manga makes it explicit that Zelda gained a master sword herself it is ambiguous in the N64 version.

2) it could be easily successfully argued that it is not a representation of trans because Zelda was in disguise out of necessity/survival and not as an outward expression of the inward experience

You pop in your headphones and listen to a podcast. Something to focus on here or there when the gasping drowning thoughts send shivers straight to your heart and the adrenaline ramps up in the dark.

You go see a movie and eat some tastey food. You read somewhere that memories are more vivid in novel experiences and the more you have the longer and fuller your life feels.

Suddenly it doesn't do much anymore. You try quitting your job to go on survivor. Third voted out. You try some beer leagues. Back thrown out bringing back memories 15 years ago from part time jobs that created lasting damage to your back and knees. You start to appear in these shoes.

Suddenly the realization hits that you are now on the other side of things. People are now watching you to peel off the salty layer of cold sweat and panic. Then it goes black as your neck breaks.

Anyway, shit gets real and escapism is easier than reflection and purpose.
