I find it stupid that different states have different ages of consent. If this took place a few states away where 17 is the legal age then would anyone care?

If this was a random 30 and 17 year old, probably not. Age of consent is 16 in most places.

But this is a teacher and student- when the older guy is in a position of authority like a boss or teacher it gets more complicated.

but i dont see a trump victory as being very likely.

If literally Hillary Clinton couldn't beat him, I don't see any 2020 democrat candidate doing it.

Are you kidding? Hillary being the Democratic candidate why was Trump won in the first place. So many people voted for Trump solely because "he's not Hillary." She's one of the most hated political figures in America.

Trump has gotten so much negative press now that the Democrats could run a wet paper bag and they'd still win.

Of course not, suicide is intentionally wanting to die. Smokers don't want to die, they just have poor judgment.
If someone drives drunk and crashes into a tree, that's not suicide. Same goes for smoking.

Depends on the situation, but is it really any different than a "Do Not Resuscitate" order?

Also I find it strange that there's no stigma for putting your cat or dog down if they're in too much pain and can't survive, but there is for humans. What is the argument here? That a dog's life is less valuable, or that human pain doesn't count?
