I still think it's insane that we just up and believe that an asteroid hit earth some millions years ago and caused a crater and wiped all life or whatever. Even if we concede the fact that dinosaur bones weren't planted by the satan devil to trick us, just accepting the evidence that a giant space rock hit earth means that we could get hit at any time, and before half life 3 comes out to boot

Its a good show, with A LOT of bad episodes, bad characters, cringy dialogue, and was only saved by the fact that when it was good, it wasnt just good, it was fantastic. Michael Rosenbaum is clearly the best iteration of Lex Luthor weve ever seen.

yeah rosenbaum was great. Which episodes and stuff were great in your opinion? I thought most of them were pretty good. And had a much higher percentage of good episodes than the x files another show which had some special effects.

yeah they might have been the biggest seller of wired earbuds. But wired earbuds popularity has almost gone non existent

I stopped fucking with skullcandy because time and time again their ear buds proved to be the lowest quality pieces of shit on the market each and every single time I gave them a chance. Not once had a single pair I bought lasted longer than a month. Skullcandy is such an awful brand. I don't know how they're even still in business or why people buy their shit.

what, i have had really good experience with those old skullcandy wired earbuds. Do they even make them anymore, they probably started making them like 20 yrs ago. Some of the best wired earbuds i can remember using

Funny how you don't see people wearing Beats nowadays. They used to be everywhere. Beats are OK, but you can do better for less money.

If you want wireless, it's hard to do better than Sony WH-1000XM4.

AKG and Sennheiser both make very good quality headphones for reasonable prices. That's where I would start looking.

Don't a huge number of people still wear beats?

I wore a pair for a couple years, I think the Crusher. Perfectly cromulent, they were the kind that just sit on your ears rather than go over them completely, so not much for noise cancelation or anything like that.

cromulent? that word has never been used outside of simpsons. The skullcandy headphones seem to be super popular for major retailers to sell around the time of black friday. Wonder why

It's incredibly dumb to me that phones are are expensive as they are but I've happily dropped upwards of $2k on PC parts all at once multiple times and will absolutely do so again. (Though I guess that's not saying much since these days GPUs are creeping up to cost almost that much by themselves X_X)

A lot of people complain about how much a new cell phone costs, esp. if you're buying it separately and not signing up for a phone plan but all the good cell phones have a camera that is better than those kinda old point and shoot canon cameras, they have an mp3 player and they have a gps too that you used to have to buy a separate garmin for. So do many of you think it might be like over 1000 bucks for them to manufacture one?

Abortion is the political issue for the religious right and it's one that they're not willing to accept half measures on. In a lot of places, a Republican who doesn't support severe restrictions on abortion, up to and including a total ban, risks getting primaried and replaced with someone who will. And even if that doesn't happen, a Republican in a competitive state/district is going to have a much harder time winning if the anti-abortion folks don't show up to vote for them.

Long story short i work for a billion dollar business that has out of state HR. I was pulled in the office and fired yesterday for an attendance infraction. This came directly from HR. Basically my employee log states ive had multiple conversations about my attendance in the last 6 months.

But the actual conversations centered around my attendance have all either been good, or centered around a miscommunication that came from store level management. Which my direct mangers have all co-signed.

So now Im basically on standby for at least the next week while the appeal process goes through.

Not exactly. I took a desk job to gain experience and never left. I should fly for money, but there's so many chuds and blowhards as pilots. I wouldn't want to be next to them.

You can go down to a local flight school at the airport and learn the same exact shit I learned in college. You don't need to be good at math and physics. Most computations are pretty basic and modern avionics and iPad apps can do all the complicated stuff for you.

yeah doesn't it take like 10 yrs to become an airline pilot? kinda like doctor a person could prob learn it in much less time but it is the law.

Have heard this said a lot. That how good your prof is is a huge factor. That may say a lot about how great or relevant the subject matter is. If it wasn't why would how great your prof was matter so much?

Aviation (Professional Pilot). The trigonometry and college physics isnt really needed. The requirements was lowered to college algebra and basic physics. The E6B flight computer takes care of all the trigonometry for you.

What I do currently is clerical work for the state of California. I don't mind the work, as it's been a good learning experience. But I'm at the salary cap for the position, so I need to take a new position if I want to make more money. Doing IT work is the path I chose to promote through.

Funny enough, no. I have my CPA license. The only thing they care about is having over 150 units and taking the core accounting classes. Business Calc was the last math course I had to take in CC to transfer over to a university. And all Business Calc was is just Calculus with word problems.

yeah but you must have a bachelors accounting degree? Many have master's iirc. pretty sure you don't need that for like h and r block
