| Gamefreak1000 07/03/21 5:06:47 PM #39 | I quite liked Xillia 2, but it depends on what you're looking for. That game is a bit experimental compared to other Tales games. It's more of a character-focused story rather than a grand adventure, and the main character (Ludgar) is a silent protagonist. I think he's a pretty good example of how to create an interesting silent protagonist though, he has bits of personality sprinkled in the dialogue choices, and I actually felt pretty sympathetic for him considering the obstacles he has to overcome, especially in some endings (game has like 3). The original ToX cast plays a much more supporting role this time around, but unlike ToS2, they're fully fledged party members who level up with you, so that's fun. Also has two brand new party members (Gaius and Muzet) which is cool. It HEAVILY reuses assets from ToX1, and this can cause burnout if you jump into it straight after beating 1, but I took a long break in-between games so I wasn't bothered by this. --- Not changing this sig until 250 people ask. After completing the DLC when it came out last year, I started a Golden Deers run with a focus on the Ashen Wolves, but got burnt out halfway in (by this point I had over 500 hours into the game).
