Awakening = great story, above average gameplay
Birthright = above average story, below average gameplay
Conquest = awful story, great gameplay
Revelation = average story, above average gameplay

Revelation can't be played unless you buy either Birthright or Conquest first, and shouldn't be played until fully beating both. So if you can only get one individual 3DS game, I'd recommend either Awakening or Conquest. Awakening is probably the better of the two for an individual experience, since part of Conquest's enjoyment comes from also playing Birthright and experiencing both sides of the story.

If you can, look into the older FE games (specifically the GBA and GC games) as well, since those are generally considered the best ones. New Mystery Of The Emblem on DS is Japan-exclusive, but is also great if you can "acquire" a translated version.

I always either ran the AUG HBAR for long range combat or the MP5K for close range. Sleight of Hand Pro, Stopping Power Pro, Steady Aim Pro. Sometimes Marathon Pro or Commando Pro, depending on the map we were playing on. I mostly used Commando for not taking fall damage, not really for the melee benefits.

3x Frags was in the first MW, not MW2. MW2 had Scavenger though, so basically the same thing except you had to get the ammo packs from the bodies.

Went back and played some Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 tonight, had fun screwing with quickscopers and trickshotters in Free For All.

It has all of the same bullshit as the original (including 3x Frags, Martyrdom, and the overpowered M16A4) but it's also just as enjoyable as the original in terms of gameplay, and they added a bunch of new features to make it better. The "crap that players don't like", as you put it, is brand new weapons that would keep an otherwise stale game from getting even more stale even faster. They're not locked behind RNG since you can unlock them by saving up depot parts, and they're not "pay-to-win" because none of them are better than the best stock guns in their weapon class. In fact, most of them (like the full-auto shotgun) are mediocre gimmicks that are mostly outclassed.

The hate on Raven/IW adding new weapons to the game is severely overblown, and if anything it's actually increased the game's lifespan. Now that it's been released as a standalone separate from Infinite Warfare on all consoles, there's really no reason not to get MWR if you're a diehard Call of Duty fan.

The last season of Yu-gi-oh ARC-V is now considered one of the worst seasons of any anime in the history of anime. Before that dumpster fire of a final season, ARC-V was actually doing really well and may have been better than the original series and 5D's.

Previous rumors of new Miami Marlins owner Derek Jeter’s desire to remove the stadium’s dinger sculpture will not be coming to fruition, as Miami-Dade County officials have spoken up to clarify that it is a work of public art that cannot be moved.

The sculpture is the property of the county: public art commissioned and “designed specifically for this project and location,” as head of Miami-Dade County’s cultural affairs arm Michael Spring told the Miami Herald today. (A helpful clarifying comment, as the sculpture is definitely indistinct enough to pass for any project or location.)

The sculpture cost $2.5 million and was required as part of the local Art in Public Places program, which mandates that county-constructed buildings include art. As former team owner Jeffrey Loria fleeced the city for hundreds of millions of public funding for the stadium, it is a county-constructed building which, therefore, needs some art. This is what they have, and it’s “permanently installed,” according to Spring. “It is not moveable.”

I just want the Chao Garden minigame back. Give me a solid (doesn't even have to be great, just solid) Sonic game and throw in the Chao Garden and it's a day zero buy for me. I never put in more time or had as much fun with a Sonic game than I did with SA2B and raising those little guys on the side.

That's not to knock the main gameplay of the series. Both Sonic Adventure games were enjoyable in their own right (SA2 moreso), but the Chao Garden was a big reason why those games were so beloved by the fans.
