A jury in Columbia County found David Elliot Moran, 49, and Charles Thomas Newcomb, 45, guilty of one count each of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder after they and a third guard, who was also a KKK member, were captured in recorded conversations discussing their sick plans with an FBI informant, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement.

%u201CThese Klansmen plotted to murder a black inmate after he was released from prison, but swift action and clever investigative tactics on behalf of investigators foiled their plot and may have saved a life,%u201D Bondi said. %u201CWe will continue to work daily to ensure the KKK or any other hate-filled organization is unable to inflict violence on the citizens of our great state.%u201D

Moran and Newcomb were arrested in 2015 along with Thomas Jordan Driver, 27, after the trio sought out and enlisted an FBI informant to kill the former inmate as retaliation for a previous fight he had with Driver, Bondi said.

Both Driver and Moran were officers at the Department of Correction Reception and Medical Center in Lake Butler, while Newcomb was a former correction officer. Driver pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit murder in March and was sentenced to four years in prison. All three were members of the Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, investigators said

False. There was no overwhelming support for the cop in that case. In fact, many in BLM believed that the only reason that cop was punished was because he was not white.

That was also a ricochet shot. Damond was intentionally shot. But thanks for bringing that case up. No one blamed the victim there either, despite him being black. This refutes the current BLM narrative regarding Justine Damond.

NYPD and NYC corrections fires all rookies in such incidents because they're on probation for a year and a half, i know many police officers. Chinese protested all over the world about this that he not be fired or punished at all, and his charges were dropped...

I say it really didn't matter if the guy that got killed pulled a gun. If a stranger wielding a weapon (Which a cop executing a warrant would be) you have a right to defend yourself, regardless of who broke into your home.

Also two white women in their early 20's cornered me and began asking me directions to a place that i don't know how to get to. Instead of letting me on my way they then asked if there was a place nearby with free wifi, and then they broke the most sacred boundary and asked me if i worked nearby(on account of my clothes). Finally someone had the courage to speak up about this. I live in NY and just came from Wall St. an hour ago...this has gone on long enough. I have suffered through this as a black man every day for ten years, even my own fiance is guilty of this malicious behavior when we go shopping.
