This isn't uncharted territory. There is precedence for entertainers-turned-politicians well before Trump/Oprah (Sonny Bono, Bill Bradley, Al Franken, Ronald Reagan, Arnold, Jesse Ventura).

The implication is that he was sent to jail and convicted of murdering a suspect in custody...however, I never thought that.

I think he was arrested, but not convicted. Considering the extreme circumstances, I think he falls under the "crime of passion" context.

Not convicted of murder, but probably a reduced manslaughter charge, plead out, and got probation. Definitely not a badge anymore.

How can anyone dislike Hated in the Nation? It was so well done it couldve been a feature film.

I absolutely agree. It also contains one of the most despised acts in all of the series that really hit the thematic element hard to the viewers. But I think people had trouble with HOW that retribution was delivered.

I had no problem with it, as it was apart of the science fiction of that episode's world.

That's pretty much the show. Season 2 starts off with an "oh s***" moment and is far better.

The show builds up to the moment everyone knows is coming with Jax & Clay, but holds it off for an extra season or two because the series creator falls in love with his creation too much, and it suffers.
