18. Giants: HB Jonathan Stewart
Emerald's pick: HB LeGarrette Blount
Stan's pick: HB Jonathan Stewart
Another case of me getting the position right but not the player, Edgerrin James is not long for this league, so now's the perfect time to get a future starter.

19. Dolphins: CB Kareem Jackson
Emerald's pick: QB Travis Doucette
Stan's pick: CB Kareem Jackson
My reasoning for QB is that last year, Keller got hurt for most of the season. KCF has 84 Tim Rattay who, while rated alright, is super old, so I thought hey, insurance. Kareem Jackson was a borderline 1st-2nd rd pick, and I didn't have him getting CB Joe Haden though, so I goofed big time by not having the Dolphins reach a tad to get a CB. Good on you, Stan.

20. Steelers: OT Anthony Costanzo
Emerald's pick: DT Domata Peko
Stan's pick: DT Domata Peko
I get this pick, somewhat. Stan and I both thought there was a more immediate need at DT, having only 1 rated 80+, so I think that was the way to go, but they did need a 4th OT anyway, and one of their OTs is 32, so he's approaching potential decline stage. Shattered is playing the long game, here.

21. Vikings: QB Matthew Stafford
Emerald's pick: CB Kareem Jackson
Stan's pick: HB CJ Spiller
Donovan McNabb is old, so a potential QB of the future pick here? Depends on how old Josh Portis is. If he's young, I don't like this pick at all. If he's not, then it's a good pick.

22. Jaguars: OT Russell Okung
Emerald's pick: OT Jared Valdheer
Stan's pick: DE Michael Johnson
Honestly, DE is more of a need here, but I thought Johnson was a reach so I went OT to add some young depth behind their starting OTs. A classic case of Value over Need, I don't think the Jags could have gone wrong either way.

12. Lions: HB LeGarrette Blount
Emerald's pick: QB Matthew Stafford
Stan's pick: QB Matthew Stafford
Another eyebrow-raiser, the Chiefs clearly have a need at QB and not HB, or even OT with Todd Wade being 35. This one just doesn't make that much sense, unfortunately.

13. Broncos: WR Golden Tate
Emerald's pick: WR Dez Bryant
Stan's pick: WR Dez Bryant
The Broncos went off the board here, and while they still grabbed a 1st rd graded WR, they didn't grab the top one. Perhaps they see something in Tate? We'll have to see, but on the surface it's a puzzling move.

14. 49ers: OT Trent Williams
Emerald's pick: OT Anthony Costanzo
Stan's pick: OT Trent Williams
We both had the 49ers taking an OT, but I thought Williams would be gone by now which is why I went with Costanzo. The 49ers needed another quality OT to add some depth and take over the reins soon, and they got just that. Good pick.

15. Bears: QB Andrew Luck
Emerald's pick: HB LeSean McCoy
Stan's pick: HB LeGarrette Blount
This is a solid pick. The Bears have only 2 HB and the starter is over 30, but David Carr is even older, so QB was probably the more immediate need. Carr is still rated highly, so they've got time to let Luck develop before making him the starter.

16. Browns: MLB Aaron Curry
Emerald's pick: OT Russell Okung
Stan's pick: WR Golden Tate
The Browns said they were targeting MLB and to be honest, I'm not sure why. Korey Hall is 85 (which is good enough) and under 30, so he can start for quite a few more years. Curry was a reach at this point, not even being listed on the board, and we thought that WR was old, and OT was substandard, so we both thought they needed more love than MLB. I don't like the pick but we'll see if the gamble pays off.

17. Redskins: WR Victor Cruz
Emerald's pick: DT Gerald McCoy
Stan's pick: DT Gerald McCoy
I'm not sure how old the Redskins' WR corps is, but if I had to guess, it's probably old like the rest of their roster. If so, I get this pick. However, they have a single DT on their roster, who is also probably old. I would say that's a more immediate need than WR. I'd give this pick a C grade, as it still fills a need but not the biggest one, and not at the best value either.

Hey KCF I sent my strat for the remainder of the draft.

Also, Emerald and Stan I love the idea of some mock drafts and analysis. I will say though that I have absolutely no idea why you would slate me for a WR or OT since I have young talent at both, Steve Smith not withstanding.

My targets were a linebacker (I currently have no ROLB on the roster) and CB (a position of emphasis for me every offseason so far that I have never adequately addressed.)

Your OTs are 84 and 81, which are below average at that spot, that's why I had OT, even if they are young. I felt the next CB was a bit of a reach, though that's really the only reason.
Although we of course aren't trying to tell anyone how to run their teams. More like what we would pick if we were in that position. So super biased in that light :D

6. Pioneers: QB Russell Wilson
Emerald's pick: QB Russell Wilson
Stan's pick: DT Donkey Kong Suh
Honestly, the DT might have made more sense from a need standpoint, but even though 84 QB is serviceable, the chance to pass up a franchise QB at this point, when there are plenty of good "old" QBs available, is a rarer commodity than it gets credit for. Plus they have room to nurture Wilson and don't "need" to start him right away.

7. Colts: HB LeSean McCoy
Emerald's pick: OT Joe Staley
Stan's pick: QB Russell Wilson
I don't know how old Steven Jackson is. If he's old, this makes some sense. But even though the Colts have 4 OTs already, they have only 1 rated above 82. Their QB is also 84 rated, which isn't a superstar. Even though Wilson was gone by this point, Staley or Luck might have made more sense.

8. Bengals: DE Jason Pierre-Paul
Emerald's pick: DT Donkey Kong Suh
Stan's pick: DE Jason Pierre-Paul
I thought the Bengals had a more immediate need at DT, having only 1 above 80, but with the DE market being slim on youngsters this year, and one of their DEs being 35, AND DE being thinner than DT in the draft, this probably makes more sense. Stan hit it head on.

9. Lions: OT Joe Staley
Emerald's pick: DE Jason Pierre-Paul
Stan's pick: QB Andrew Luck
This pick is alright, the #1 OT in the draft makes for a solid pick since the Lions are thin behind their 2 starters, but they are not only older at both DE and QB, their next man up at QB is 82 Jason Campbell, not exactly starter worthy. Those would probably have been better options but you still can't go wrong with an OT unless you're super stacked, and Nee was not. Not a bad pick at all.

10: DT Donkey Kong Suh
Emerald's pick: OT Trent Williams
Stan's pick: OT Joe Staley
Stan and I both had KCF going OT here, but at least on my end, it was because Suh was already gone, and the next DT would have been a reach. KCF's top 2 DTs are 34 and 35 years old, so this was a great long term pick.

BONUS 6th analysis
11: Raiders: FS Reshad Jones
Emerald's pick: QB Andrew Luck
Stan's pick: HB LeSean McCoy
Stan and I both had raised eyebrows at this pick. Their starting HB is 86, which while perfectly fine, still is below average it seems like. And their QB is 82. Jones was a borderline 1st-2nd pick so he was a huge reach for a near top 10-pick. I think QB or HB both would have made more sense here. Granted, their starting FS is an 80 right now, which is why I won't straight up say I hate this pick, but...at some point, value trumps need. They could have tried to trade back and still gotten Jones.

1. Wildcats: MLB Bobby Wagner
Emerald's pick: MLB Bobby Wagner
Stan's pick: MLB Bobby Wagner
Not much to say, the consensus #1 pick.

2. Lightning: WR Antonio Brown
Emerald's pick: CB Joe Haden
Stan's pick: CB Joe Haden
Both Stan and I were torn on this one, as the Lightning's WR corps is both old and shallow. However, we both thought the more immediate need at CB would make a tiny reach worth it. Lightning opted with the #1 WR, which at this point you can't really whiff unless you go wayyyy back. Still a great pick.

3. Dolphins: CB Joe Haden
Emerald's pick: OLB KJ Wright
Stan's pick: WR Antonio Brown
Both of these predix were based on the assumption that CB Joe Haden doesn't fall this far, as it's pretty obvious what Dolphins' #1 need is. That said, Haden did get here, so KCF took him. Huge need to restock makes this a slam dunk pick, even if haden wasn't a projected top 5 (and maybe top 10? I forget).

4. Titans: DE Chris Long
Emerald's pick: DE Chris Long
Stan's pick: DE Chris Long
We all know the Titans defensive woes, I personally thought it was a tossup between DE and OLB, but with no good young DE on the FA market this year, I think the Titans made the best pick they could.

5. Jets: OLB KJ Wright
Emerald's pick: WR Antonio Brown
Stan's pick: OLB KJ Wright
Yep, Stan and I had Brown and Wright going in opposite slots, lol. I probably messed up, I do think now that KCF would have taken Brown if not Haden, since his WR corps is older, but hey, live and learn. Good work stan.

I mean if they replaced the groceries and made the effort to let you know this path was available to you, no need to stick it to them. If they had stuck their nose up and been like "Nah it's all your fault and we won't replace your stuff" then on principle milk it for all it's worth, but in this case no need to cause yourself and them a hassle unless , as was said, it was a serious injury that required monetary compensation.

How does one stop overthinking without overthinking, y'know?

I think a big thing here is you need solid people around you that can help you move past your fears when they're clearly holding you back for no good reason. I had that in college and I attribute that to be a large part of why I didn't just give up. You need people who you can talk to about this and they will tell you "Stevie, you're being dumb, go chase after her!" when the situation calls for it AND you need to know you can trust them.

Also, just a question that popped into my head: You mentioned once before that more 3rd and 4th rounders have turned out to be starters than first rounders. Would it be fair of me to wager that that's because when someone gets a 1st rounder they seem to, more often than not, plug them in as a starter immediately, rather than letting their natural development take hold and THEN plug them in? Whereas a 3rd or 4th rd player will almost always be riding the bench those first few years, thus giving them time for natural rating increases and, by extension, a better chance at being a good player? Matt Ryan for example, rather than being an 89, could very well have been an 81 if he had a bad year last year. If I had chosen to let him ride the bench last year, perhaps he could have naturally grown to an 86 or an 87, and thus have a better chance of sticking as a starter? If that is in fact the case, then I don't think that should de-value a 1st round pick or increase the value of a 3rd or 4th rd pick at all, it just means those GMs were smarter in handling them. I find it hard to believe that many players in the 3rd/4th rd were starter worthy right out of college.

2: I think you're putting too much emphasis on these picks that, quite frankly, aren't as important as they would be if they were a round higher. Hasn't it always been that it costs more to move up the higher up you already are? E.g. I have to give up more to move up from the 10th overall pick to the 5th overall pick than I would from, say, the 20th overall pick to the 15th overall pick. The amount of spots is equal, but the value of the picks are not. If I am reading the trade right it was those two players, wiki gets the 31st pick in the 2nd rd, and jukkie gets the 18th pick in the 3rd rd. This would be different if wiki were getting the 31st pick in the 1st round, and jukkie got the 18th in the second, there would be more talent that needed to be given up than what was offered here. But the 12 spots that were left on the table doesn't mean nearly as much as it would if the picks were an earlier round, because you likely won't be getting star players with either of these draft picks. Could they turn into stars eventually? Sure, but some trades are about taking risks/taking less value now for a chance to get a greater return later, or cashing in on someone else's willingness to do so. If Wiki thinks he'll get better value from this mid 2nd rd pick than he will from this 81 CB, then that's his risk to take. It could pay off, it could backfire, but I think that should be involved when discussing draft trades, because that's all they really are. "I think the thing I'm getting will end up being better than the thing I'm giving away." I don't think it's fair to take away that part of being a GM, because that makes a really slippery slope as far as limiting how much you can do with your roster. I don't think jukkie was trying to take wiki for a ride, so live and let live imo. I really don't see why, by your own admission, "12 spots" is worth an instant veto, especially in comparison to some of the other examples you listed last week, double especially when most of the other gm's had no issue with it?

This is all my opinion, and you are ultimately the boss, I am fine with agreeing to disagree if it comes down to it, but I just wanted to give my perspective, even if it ends up flawed.

I am going to articulate this as well as I can, hopefully I don't ramble:

1: As I mentioned in an earlier post, Wiki has one of the most talented and deep CB rosters in the league. You have to take both teams positions into account when valuing the trade imo, you can't just use a flat rate as every situation is different, the same way you can't, in your mind, use just rating to value a trade, as every position is different. He had basically 0 need for 4 guys all rated 80+. When a team has a surplus and other people know it, you don't have a ton of leverage. They know you're taking what you can get. The team trading for the 81 can just say "come on, you don't even need this guy, you'll probably just end up cutting him if you can't find a better offer than mine, cause I know you're trying to cut salary." Wiki's options at this point are:
A) Take the offer and get less on the dollar for what it's worth. We see this all the time in sports, and in life, if someone knows you don't need something, you will never get full value for it. That's what yard sales are premised around. Is this a yard sale? Hell no, but the premise is the same. You get less for something you don't need, because people will know you're serious about getting more if the player is important to you. If wiki said "I need this guy" he would get laughed out of the building.
B) Keep the player and make him a vastly overpaid 4th stringer (because though he is an 81, he is performing the same function as a guy of 60 rating would be: Riding the pine.)
C) Cut the player, which means wiki saves the most money but gets no other tangible assets, like a better player he would be probably be getting via the draft by making a trade.
Again, is his inherent "worth" more than the what, 19 spots he would move up? Maybe, given what you said about positional depth and the dearth of talent at CB, but that doesn't mean that he's worth it to wiki. If wiki can give up an asset and suffer basically NO roster damage from it, I think he should be allowed to capitalize on his assets however he sees fit, and if it bites him in the ass later then you told him so.

Now to be clear, the message ID is the timestamp right? As in if you get a time that ends in xx:xx:00 then that counts?

Yeesh, I've been down that road, pining for someone who was interested in someone else. It's a tough one. But guy, get a better eye for girls. Just cause you want one doesn't mean you should pursue everyone who comes your way, you gotta get to know them, that way you don't get your heart stomped on as much.

I did pull the atmosphere last night though so that's cool I guess. I have 2 blockmans now. Does being a higher stage make it more likely to encounter lv 40 yugi? I've stayed at like 37 cause couldn't get motivated but if hitting 40s will make it 40 every time then imma get on that

I doubt there will be any interest, but OT Damion McIntosh (83, 35 y/o) and CB Lenny Walls (81, 32 y/o) are available, preferably for picks. Also could use a DE.
