As someone who's been active within gay communities for years, I saw both arrangements as valid despite what some critics would say. Both couples functioned in their own ways as happy pairings. To me that's primarily what matters. I agree with this, however dont these kinds of grey areas become problematic in instances when people are trying to get others to label them as or describe them correctly in other instances? Or do sexual orientation labels matter less than gender labels? I wouldve thought the opposite with all the new -sexual labels that have popped up in the last 10-15 years. I would assume that having concrete rules and explanations would only help educate people outside the community, rather than having hard rules in some areas and being whatever about other areas. --- |

| EffectAndCause 11/21/21 11:54:36 AM #1 | It has the block button (AND back to block if you want) and universal button + directional special moves of Smash Bros, and universal inputs that apply to all characters (AND traditional directional inputs if you want). Both choices have little pros and cons to balance it all out. Also combos are all the same simple 3 button press and its just about stringing together special moves however you think will work. Like Smash Bros, you can learn how to play in 5 seconds and its all about using the right moves at the right times. As much as I love fighting games, ive always hated the usually very high barrier of entry because it often requires memorizing a shitload of inputs and combos and/or annoying d-pad rotations that you have to time right so ill fuck up doing the move I wanted to do in that moment. Also as a game it has an absolutely gorgeous artstyle, awesome and diverse characters and a really cool story mode that applies the actual fighting game mechanics to a 2D beat em up/RPG. So yeah, if youre anything like me and are looking for a proper fighting game (as opposed to the platforming type fighter Smash Bros is) with all the accessibility and simplicity of Smash Bros, I strongly recommend this game. --- |
