I was telling him about my new gaming PC and it came up that we play several of the same games. Anyways he told me that he'd add me and we could play some time and I accepted on reflex.

Then I remembered that the Steam username I came up with can be interpreted as being similar to a certain somewhat unpopular historical group, purely as a joke of course.

I was able to dodge him by telling him I forgot the spelling since I just made the account but tomorrow I'll need a new excuse unless I can change the name or transfer the couple hundred dollars worth of games I bought to a different one...

Not to mention no one ever said the wall would be perfect, and forcing criminals to go through the effort of doing this would still cut down on the number of crossings since it's doubtful a hole large enough for a vehicle could be cut in it and any holes will give border patrol clues on where the criminals might have gone to and such to catch them.

The most annoying thing is that anyone caught destroying US government property to enter the country like this should be given a stiff prison sentence, but our prisons are better than most of the places these people come from so that probably wouldn't deter them and I wouldn't want them here for any reason anyways.

Seriously this. People say that it's somehow unfair to women because it puts them at a disadvantage but that's bull. If a woman can't keep up with a man then she just isn't trying as hard as he is that's all.

Like the time the U.S. National women's soccer team got beaten by an under 15 boy's team, or when both Serena and Venus got trashed by a mediocre male player in the same day. Being at the top of your tier and unchallenged just makes you complacent, mixing everyone together will only result in better athletes all around.

I've always thought that guy was cool since playing Mercenaries for hours with him in RE4 and I actually have cash to blow for once. Also conveniently there are several army surplus shops in town so I should probably be able to find a similar helmet and gas mask.

Not sure what kind of gun he uses though, but there's probably a replica I can order online and it doesn't have to be exact after all. Man I haven't done anything for Halloween for years, I'm already getting hyped by this idea.

I already have a decent monitor and keyboard, mouse, etc. so that would be just for the tower. I'm not even really trying to run anything at max settings, but I do want something that is pretty good and will last a decent amount of time without upgrades. Also I would preferably just buy something rather than build it for the sake of convenience.

Maybe in urban cities but on trails, horses and their riders have the right-of-way followed by cyclists and then hikers. Far easier for a hikers to step aside than a cyclist to swerve around the hiker. I do not mountain bike but I would rather step off a trail and leave a smaller mark than have a cyclist go off the trail and leave a bigger mark behind. Plus some trails are too narrow/steep for a cyclist to go around.

People aren't obliged to get out of your way, you go around if you want to get around

People in most places in the States are so uneducated about how to deal with cyclists it's almost scary being one.

Once overheard an intense argument some of my coworkers had concerning if Jesus was White or Black... The main logic for the first side being that he looks white in most paintings and Christianity is "European" and for the other side it was that (in their words) Jerusalem and the other major locations in the bible are close to Egypt, which is in Africa, so the people close by would be dark skinned, or Black.

I'm sure I've heard worse but that one stands out because of how entirely sure both sides were of their ideas.

I was at Walmart the other day and out of habit went by the video game section and they were selling brand new games even new 1st party Nintendo games for $50 a pop. I don't know if it was a giant sale or if they're that desperate to get people to buy physical over digital, but I was pretty tempted to get something. That was mentioned in the OP. Why not just have them work off the balance in a government run detention work facility? The government pays the balance up front for the other person and then makes the money back with interest from the person responsible.

If a person makes the deliberate choice to not purchase, say health insurance, and they come down with an illness that is beyond their means to pay for, they should be refused treatment even if it means their death. If a person causes an accident while having no auto insurance, they should have their possessions sold until the balance of the damage is met. If someone does not have the assets to equal the amount they need in a case involving a second party, they should be imprisoned and put to work until they have worked enough to pay for the damages (plus interest, since the gov would have to foot the bill at first). If that person happens to die or abscond with debt, the debt should be transferred to their next of kin, it is not the job of society at large to absorb it for their sake.
