2 fried eggs, hard set, with kosher salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
2 strips of thick cut uncured bacon, heated to just under sandwich quality doneness (still slightly chewy, but mostly crispy).
1 large banana
Glass of iced tea, either with a little lemon or peach juice for flavoring.

Seems pretty odd considering the amount of stuff you hear about online communities for games nowadays, but back when most of them were kids (assuming they are 20-40) gaming was a pretty inclusive. I didn't matter who you were, as long as you liked the same games you got along fine. Most of my friends in school came from tons of different backgrounds but as long as we could sit down and play some Quake together we got along just fine. Can't really say that for most other activities.

I never really understood the hate either. As someone who grew up with sticoms, it does everything that a million other sitcoms from the 80's and 90's did as well. It takes a single premise, repeats the joke for 8 - 10 seasons until people stop thinking it's funny, and goes away. That is literally the definition of a sitcom. I mean sure, nowadays sitcoms aren't nearly as common as they are now but that doesn't mean that one show is automatically the devil incarnate.

I honestly have a lot more hate for shows that try to hide that they are sitcoms like The Office or Community. Not Parks and Recreation though, I liked that one for some reason (probably Chris Pratt, dude is hilarious. Oh, and of course Nick Offerman).

As for plastic utensils, eh. They are somewhat convenient but I could live without them. Just don't replace them with something that falls apart anytime it gets wet.

Well, except for the time after Columbine where someone thought it would be funny to tell the guidance counselor that I was looking up how to make bombs in my programming class. Did you check your boot order after enabling the M.2 port? That can sometimes cause your boot order to change because your BIOS adds the new drive as the first thing to boot (a hold over back when computers used to boot from disk instead of an installed drive).

Retro PC video game engines

The 6 topics would include:

Build Engine (Duke 3D, Shadow Warrior, Blood, etc.)
Z-Machine (Zork 1-3, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and many others)
ID Tech 0 (Wolfenstien 3D, Noah's Ark 3D, Rise of the Triad, etc.)
Adventure Game Interpreter (King's Quest 1-4, Space Quest 1+2, Police Quest, etc.)
ID Tech 1 (Doom, Hexen, Heretic, Chex Quest)
SCUMM (Basically every adventure game made by Lucas Arts in the late 80's and early 90's)

I could probably go in chronological order, but this would be a good order as far as complexity. I guess I could combine the FPS and Adventure game ones at least.

I usually don't like pepperoni in general unless it is on a pizza. Adds just the right amount of spice (and crunch if you get cup and curl) without overpowering the rest of the ingredients. All the other meats are either too bland or too overpowering.

Best pizza by far is pepperoni and mushroom.

Edit: Apparently I am eligible since they just opened it up to anyone 30+, but I would need to make an appointment a month and a half in advance, and I would have to drive 30-150 miles to get it since I can't do it at a pharmacy.

The contracting firm I was working for had to lay-off a few people back in September, including one of my friends from a previous job who I still talk to regularly and one of my team members. While I do think it was partially their fault, some of it was the company they were contracting for (The one I currently work for) promised to spin up two more teams for projects, only to cancel that after they had already hired a bunch of college graduates.

Even though I wasn't even close to being considered as one of the people they were going to get rid of, it still convinced me to start looking for full time positions since I had already been laid off back in 2019 at a job I worked almost 12 years at. Well, that and I had no desire to work on the project my team was getting ready for.

Then again, the government is always about 20 years behind technologically from the private sector so I really shouldn't be at all surprised.

Actually, Galaxy was the start of 3D Mario's shift to being more platforming-oriented. Each world was smaller and more linear than in 64 or Sunshine, with more focus on interesting platforming than exploration. Galaxy 2 took that a step further, then SM3D Land and World were basically pure platformers. Odysssey then took the subseries back to being a collect-a-thon.
And I think the big distinction of what made the Galaxies and SM3D Land/World way better then 64 or Sunshine was it made the camera much better. The player didn't have to control it, it was always in the optimal position to tell players everything they needed to know. Sure, you could manipulate it a little if you wanted, but you never had to stop every few seconds and re-adjust it.

Even Odyssey I can give a pass to because while it did kind of go back to the collect-a-thon, it at least did it in a fun way.

I always felt it sucked, but I am pretty sure my reasons aren't even addressed in the video. I think it sucks because I think every 3d platformer from the 90's and early 00's suck. They all have the same problems: Slower gameplay than their 2D counterparts, difficulty based solely on camera angles, formulaic boss fights, and an over-reliance on "open" levels with multiple objectives.

Not really a "new" thing, but since the Yakuza Remastered collection has made it's way to PC, 2021 basically has become the year of Yakuza for me. Making my way through 3, going to play 4, then 5 after. Then pick up and play 6 once it comes out later this month. I have also heard rumors that since Judgement is coming to a bunch of systems in April that it might make it's way to PC as well. Would love to play that one.

Also, my comic book reading oddly enough kind of slowed down last year, so am catching up on that. Got a couple of old Vertigo stories I am going through, then plan to read Punisher from the 2010's. And of course Daredevil, Black Widow, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when new ones of those come out.
