It kinda looks like it's animated on threes. Kind of like when they use 3D models in anime. Maybe it's on twos, but either way it just looks bad. They clearly lowered the frames to make it stand out from the regular 3D, but it didn't work

Probably not, but if you're like me, it will bug you not knowing the references. Hell, even the first game has tons of references to the books which you'll probably miss.
